[0.005 lb] I'm using this on a slider and I would never shoot without it now. Allows me to make so many adjustments without removing the camera from the slider or adjusting the tripod every shot. Love this head.

[0.005 lb] This is a specialized tripod head with excellent design and construction for a more than reasonable price. I mostly use it to shoot video on a slider 1) for height adjustment when using support/stabilizer arms that do not allow me to extend the tripod column, 2) panning with the camera looking down, 3) separate the camera from the slider for vertical panning so that I can swing the LCD open to the side and 4) elevate the camera for zooming with the slider without having the slider in the picture. When called for, I add a leveling head under this one.

[0.005 lb] Have not used it much yet, but overall I like it a lot. Well made, thats for sure. I am glad it has and on/off switch not like the ones from Edelkrone where you have to pull the batterie to turn it off. I also like the Edelkrone app, quite easy to learn and easy to get connection with the slide module and my phone. I bought it to do interviews for a second camera so the noise it makes was a important consideration. As far as I can tell the noise will be manageable, if it is far enough away form the talent.

When I first attached my camera to it I was disappointed that it flopped down; after reading the manual I discovered the need for the provided hex head wrenches - its adjustable to your equipment - go figure, you have to read the manual. Very happy with my purchase.

I have had this type in the past - different brands - but they all seem to loose their original tension over time no matter how hard I tried to tighten them. This one is definitely pricier than the others I've had, but I can tell how much better the tension is on this one plus how solid the overall head is - looking forward to seeing if I'm right about how much longer it will hold that tension for me!

[0.005 lb] I abandoned ball heads because they are very quick but a pain for setting and maintaining fine adjustments. Today, I use a 3-way, geared Benro GD3WH (similar to the Manfrotto 410) and the non-geared, 3-way magnesium Manfrotto 3437. This edelchrone, which I have on a leveling head, works well on my video sliders where the tripod column is almost always blocked by the stabilizing arms. It allows for 6.7 of continuous height adjustments, it elevates the camera from the slider high enough that I can zoom along the slider without showing it in the frame, and, extended on the side, allows for shots parallel to the ground. It is very well made. All of this for a reasonable price. Love it.
