The Shure SLXD14/93 offers presenters, instructors, clergy, and performers a wireless lavalier microphone system that's dependable, easy to set up, and features crystal-clear digital sound quality. Built around a rugged, single-channel, half-rack receiver with removable antennas, the system is ideally suited for portable rigs or long-term installations in small to medium-sized venues, event spaces, conference rooms, houses of worship, and education facilities.

The SLX-D operates in the UHF band to transmit high-quality, 24-bit digital audio with over 120 dB of dynamic range for crisp, detailed sound. It utilizes Digital Predictive Switching Diversity to protect the transmission from interference and deliver a solid, reliable RF signal without dropouts.

This configuration comes with a WL93 subminiature omnidirectional lavalier microphone optimized for speech intelligibility. The discreet bodypack transmitter has a selectable 1/10mW RF power output and a transmission range up to 330'. It provides up to 8 hours of operation on two AA batteries or an SB903 rechargeable battery (available separately).

The all-metal, rackmount SLXD4 receiver features an intuitive LCD interface with meters for RF, battery status, and audio output. It also offers 60 dB of gain control, and both mic/line XLR and 1/4" instrument outputs. Additional features include automatic frequency scanning and IR sync to easily link the transmitter and receiver to the same frequency.

With up to 32 mic channels available at the same time, the SLX-D is ready to expand as your needs grow. What’s more, setting up multiple systems is made fast and easy via the Ethernet port, which links the receivers together for quick, coordinated frequency scans from a single location.

  • The WL93 condenser lavalier microphone features an omnidirectional polar pattern, which picks up sound evenly from all directions, allowing for flexible mic positioning.
  • The mic's subminiature size makes it easier to conceal.
  • The lavalier mic plugs into the locking TA4M connector on the compact SLXD1 bodypack transmitter.
  • The rugged, plastic transmitter has a belt clip that attaches to the talent's clothing and an LCD that shows essential information.

  • The SLX-D delivers 24-bit digital audio with a fast transient response and over 120 dB of dynamic range—resulting in clear, accurate sound.
  • The system operates in the H55: 514 to 558 MHz UHF band with a 44 MHz tuning range and 1760 selectable frequencies, far away from potential Wi-Fi interference in the 2.4 GHz band.
  • Digital Predictive Switching Diversity uses a microprocessor to switch between the two antennas for the cleanest signal—before dropouts occur.
  • With a low latency of 3.2 ms, the system is ideal for applications that require live sound reinforcement.
  • The SLX-D's spectrum-efficient digital transmission technology allows for up to 32 mics to be used at once.
  • Up to 10 compatible systems per 6 MHz TV band and 12 systems per 8 MHz band are supported.
  • Ethernet networking saves you time with coordinated group scanning between multiple receivers from a single location; TCPI command streams from third-party companies such as AMX and Crestron are also supported.

  • Housed in a tough, half-rack metal chassis with detachable antennas, the SLXD4 receiver is a great fit for A/V installations or as part of a portable rackmount rig—ready to travel to a meeting, event, or performance.
  • The SLX-D is engineered to provide outstanding sound for small- to medium-sized spaces and facilities—without costly, complicated features required primarily for large venues.
  • Intuitive front-panel controls and a high-contrast LCD screen with audio and RF meters makes set up a snap.
  • The auto-scan function automatically seeks out the cleanest available frequency for you. The receiver and transmitter then easily link to the same frequency via infrared.
  • The receiver offers up to 60 dB of adjustable gain and the display shows you where the ideal level should be.

  • Adding the SB903 lithium-ion rechargeable battery, along with an SBC10-903 single charger or an SBC203 dual-docking charger, offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to throwing away AA batteries (battery and chargers available separately).
  • Using the SB903 battery and SBC203 charger simplifies the task of keeping multiple transmitters charged and at the ready—you can even recharge the battery while still in the transmitter.
  • When powered by an SB903, the transmitter displays the remaining battery life in hours and minutes.

  • Adding UA874 active antennas or PA805SWB passive antennas increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference.
  • The UA844+SWB antenna distribution system (available separately) lets you stretch the power of your antenna pairs, giving you more on-air channels in less setup time.

Shure offers numerous lavalier, headset, and handheld microphone options to adapt your SLX-D system as your needs evolve.

  • The WL185 (cardioid) and WL184 (supercardioid) lavalier mics offer narrower, feedback-resistant pickup patterns for louder events.
  • The discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • The SM35 is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active performance.
  • The SLXD2 handheld transmitter is available with several mic capsules choices for presenters who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This network port can connect this microphone in Dante protocol?

A: The Ethernet port on the Shure SLXD4D Dual-Channel Receiver can be connected to a network switch which can then be connected to a Dante network. However, the Shure ULXD4D Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver and ULXD4Q Quad-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver both feature a Dante dual-port network interface for digital networking capability.

Q: 2. in the specifications it says that the antenna connector is "1/4 Wire Antenna" but I have searched the internet and I have not found such a connector, what model is the connector, sma, crc9, fme, mcx or what? I need it because I want to extend the antennas

A: The antennas on the wireless components of the Saramonic UwMic9S Mini KIT2 Compact 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System are not designed or able to be replaced with external third party antennas such as paddles to extend or enhance their ability to receive transmitter signals.

Q: 3. Can this pair with the previous UwMic9 model?

A: No, components from the Saramonic UwMic9S KIT2 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System cannot be used together with components from the original UwMic9 series. The UwMic9S series is not backwards. However, the two separate systems can be used simultaneously.

Q: 4. does it include two wireless lapel microphones?

A: No, this listing is for the dual-channel receiver only. If you are looking to purchase a complete dual lavalier wireless system, I would recommend the BLX188/CVL. a href= http://www.shure.com/americas/products/wireless-systems/blx-wireless-systems target= _blank http://www.shure.com/americas/products/wireless-systems/blx-wireless-systems/a

Q: 5. Would this work well for live sound plugging the receiver into an active speaker with built in mixer and two mic channels?

A: The Saramonic UwMic9 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System Kit that you asked about can work for live sound, feeding into XLR mic inputs on a mixer or speaker. If you don't strictly need battery power though, a stationary wireless system will usually be more reliable. I would recommend considering this Sennheiser XSW1 dual system: https://bhpho.to/2TyfIGm or, on a more limited budget, this Samson Concert 288 system: https://bhpho.to/3PfE6bE

Q: 6. what wireless label microphones would work well with this receiver?

A: The Shure SM58 wireless microphones with H9: 512 - 542 MHZ work excellent with this receiver.

Q: 7. Can you adapt the XLR or 1/4 To go into a computer 3.5 mic jack safely without risk of damaging the computer or do I need something like a Scarlet And if I can adapt it without a scarlet witch adapter should I use I know the basics but I don’t know if the output of the mic is TS TRS TRRS

A: The best practice for connecting a mic to a computer would be through an audio interface like a Focusrite Scarlett or similar product. This will allow for better sound conversation to the computer, and lower noise possibilities.

Q: 8. Will this be able to pair with a ULX transmitter in the g50 band?

A: No, the Shure SLXD5 is only able to connect to SLXD receivers on the G58 band.

Q: 9. Will these work for stage singing, i.e., a musical with four singers, in both open spaces and closed venues? Thanks

A: This system could be a viable option for stage performance, but it depends on a few factors. First, know you will need 4 of these systems to allow for 4 wireless mics to run at the same time. Second, you would need to confirm which frequencies are available in your performance area, this would tell you what frequency ranges to use and whether this system can hand 4 mics at one time. This can be done using Shure's Wireless Frequency Finder. We would recommend giving us a call at 800-606-6969 to assist in finding that information. Lastly for musicals, you'd probably want a lower profile lav mic you could hide on the performers head, or in a costume. Here's a recommendation for that type of mic BH #SHTL47TOMTQG.

Q: 10. Is there a drop in charger for the belt pack transmitters

A: Yes. The transmitter includes two standard alkaline AA batteries, but can also be powered using the optional Shure SB903 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for SLX-D Transmitters (B&H # SHSB903). To charge the SB903 battery while inside the transmitter, you can use the Shure SBC203 Dual-Docking Recharging Station for SB903 Batteries & SLX-D Transmitters (B&H # SHSBC203US) which accommodates two SLX-D transmitters or an individual SB903 battery can be charged with the Shure SBC10-903 Single-Battery Charger for SB903 Battery (B&H # SHSBC10903US). Standard rechargeable AA batteries can be used with the SLX-D transmitter, but, can not be charged with either the SBC203 or SBC10-903 chargers or while they are inside the transmitter.

[Mono] Heritage Trail Association a historical site needs to record presenters both in the historic house and in the field so range and quality is important. The sound pickup, range and quality of this product was exactly what was needed. This is a major improvement for us over a high quality camera mounted microphone. In addition the ability to move allows the speakers and actors to be more comfortable. I would recommend this category of product and definitely this product specifically.

[Omnidirectional] I am a professional wedding DJ, do over 100 a year, for a living. Just got two of these mics, after calling Shure to find out which frequency is best for the Denver area (H22). The mics are awesome! I had an older SLX analog, and the difference is night and day. No drop outs, super solid signal, (and I have them buried in a podium, one with 1/4waves, and the distance mic has 1/2waves mounted on the outside of the podium. And the vocal reproduction is rich, and comes in with plenty of oomph. I paid up and got the Beta 58A mics, with rechargeable batteries.....it was an investment, but you truly get what you pay for and these mics do not disappoint.
