Protect your investment with the Fruity Chutes Parachute for Inspire 2 with Sentinel Triggerfrom Fruity Chutes. This orange and black lightweight parachute system is engineered to allow for automatic deployment, providing your Inspire 2 with a nice gentle landing. Automatic deployment is handled via the Sentinel triggering system, which can detect a variety of drone failures in as little as 0.5 seconds. Parachutes are ejected via a high-energy compressed spring so you can take the system with you to any location. You can even be conveniently folded and packed by the user for multiple uses without requiring shipment to the manufacturer. For added safety, this model has an automatic flight terminator that stops the propellers from spinning when the parachute ejects.

If something goes extremely wrong during flight, the Sentinel triggering system is there to automatically step in and save the drone. The system can detect if the drone suddenly falls, rolls, or flips. Detection happens in as little as 0.5 seconds, which equates to roughly 6' of free fall. Typically, the chute will deploy before a pilot notices there's an issue. The Sentinel system has its own 500mAh battery so the chute can be deployed even if the drone experiences a complete power failure. The battery provides up to six hours of continuous operation and can be charged via an optional USB cable. To help keep the battery fully charged, power is provided by the Skycat launcher's V3 trigger switch's 5V power supply.

A carbon fiber Skycat X48 launcher is used to eject the parachute by utilizing a high-energy compression spring. This allows the parachute to be ejected out and away from the drone quickly while having no regulatory or transportation limitations. The launcher operates via a fuse wire that can be replaced with the extra wire that's included. The fuse wire holds the ejection piston in place, and when it's time to eject, a servo signal is sent to put current through the wire to melt it. A dedicated 800mAh LiPo battery provides power for launch when needed.

The carbon fiber Skycat X48 launcher is mounted onto a baseplate with M3 bolts, and the unit attaches to the airframe with included hook-and-loop straps. There's a dedicated compartment that keeps launch electronics safe, and there's room for the fuse trigger and battery. The automatic triggering system mounts onto the back of the compartment for easy access to arming or disarming it. The added weight of the mount typically only impacts flight time by approximately two minutes.

This Fruity Chutes parachute does not rely on the drone to operate. The entirely self-contained system means it can protect your drone even in the event of power failure.

The Iris parachute weighs only 2.6 oz, yet it can provide a gentle landing to drones that weigh between 7 and 11 lb, allowing them to land at a rate of 15 feet per second. The parachute uses eight shroud lines that are each rated at a 200 lb break strength. The parachute bridle uses 1000 lb Spectra material, and the overall break strength of the chute is approximately 1000 lb of pull force.

There's no need to send your parachute back to the manufacturer after every deployment. The system is designed to let you refold, repack, and reload the parachute multiple times. A parachute rigger jig is included to help you quickly and easily fold the parachute properly.

Nearly everything you need to attach the parachute system to your drone is included. All you need to provide are simple tools. The parachute is designed to mount next to the battery to minimize its impact on flight. To help take the stress out of installation, online tutorials and other resources are available to walk you through the process.
