The Insta360 ONE R Twin Edition - 360 Camerais one of the key configurations of the modular ONE R action camera system. The Twin Edition includes the Core module, 4K Wide Angle Mod, Dual-Lens 360 Mod, and the necessary Battery Base that holds the modules together. The Core module, which is the brain, and any other module of your choice, mount side by side on the Battery Base. The different modules can be swapped in interchangeably next to the Core module. A 1" Wide Angle Mod, which captures 5.3K resolution video, is also available, sold separately, and can be swapped in. The ONE R allows you to approach different applications with one system.

The Battery Base has electronic contacts that connect two modules to work together as one. Also included is a mounting frame with a standard 3-prong action cam mount. The entire setup fits into the frame in a compact form. This way it can be attached to various support accessories, including dedicated ones that were designed specifically for this ONE R system.

The ONE R system is designed to be waterproof without any waterproof housing required. But it first has to be installed in the Mounting Frame. With the Core module and either of the other included modules attached to the Battery Base and then installed in the Mounting Frame, the system can be used in up to 16' underwater.

The Core module has a touchscreen live-view display and controls. When used with the 4K Mod, the live-view screen can be set up as front- or rear-facing. This way you can shoot standard 4K video as well as selfie and vlog videos. The 4K Mod also has FlowState Stabilization so your recordings come out smoother.

With the 360 Mod set up, the Core module's live screen can be swiped in all directions to see your shot from all angles and get a full 360° preview. Whereas many other 360 cameras only allow such a preview in a mobile app, the ONE R system provides it in-camera as well as in the companion app.

The ONE R app is provided as a free download for iOS and Android. One of its key features is a set of intuitive auto-editing functions, including for 360 content.

Other features of the ONE R include support for remote Bluetooth control from an Apple Watch or dedicated Insta360 GPS smart remote, both sold separately. The innovative, modular system also offers external mic support via an optional Insta360 USB Type-C to 3.5mm Adapter.

[BLE4.0] build quality, adaptability and convenience of this object is awesome. I felt confident spending a pretty penny on this knowing that it's modular design helps future proof it and that I can adapt it to my needs. The software systems for mobile and desktop are amazing, though I haven't found the free capture where you can use a phone's built in accelerometers to fix frame film an already shot 360 video which was a selling point for me. Still, editing has been really good, though rendering times are quite long. Also, Apple does not like to let you move files around so you have to do a bit of back bending and waiting to get your movies onto your computer in a usable format. It's better than GoPro though. Durability has been good so far. Get a second battery and you may need to push your memory card in with a paperclip or toothpick. The spring is quite strong. 5

[1.25 lb] I'm sure this is an excellent camera, but on a scale of tech savvy of 1 to 10 I'm about a 3. The enclosed instruction manual was microscopically small, and the on-line videos took some time to find and didn't answer all my questions and assumed I knew things I didn't. I need an Insta360 for Dummies!!! 5

Modular system the idea that I can switch components and add mods like 1-inch sensor 3d kit. Mean that this is a system I can grow with. I have had go pros and they serve a purpose but this 360 1 R is like a swiss army knife. part three their support and workflow is second to none. I work right out of the box and it really lets just focus on the store I am trying to tell whether that is in film or picture. It just a great camera to carry arround. 5

[USB Type-C] I love it so bad, it was a big surprise to me how easy to edit the 360 footage, much easier then my GoPro Max. I use this device every day and so fun to make great footages, I also build it into the racing drone frame to make 360 video. Much easier to use as I expected. 5

[1.25 lb] I bought my Insta360 One R Twin Edition before my family trip to Mexico and let me tell you the versatility and usefulness of this camera is amazing. My family in Mexico were amazed by the One R and it felt awesome to show my family over here what technology has come to.
