Precision-crafted from brass with chromium plating, this adapter is designed for daily use and offers infinity focus. This model has a flocked interior that will limit flaring and ghosting from reflections inside the adapter, and a satin exterior finish matches that of most cameras for a unified appearance. Additionally, it has a detachable Arca-type compatible tripod foot for simple mounting to a variety of tripods.

This adapter allows you to mount your Minolta MD lens on your Leica L camera, but it does not support automatic functions such as autofocus and electronic aperture control.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Anyone ever try using this for cine-modded leica r lenses, with wireless FF motors ? (i.e. Nucleus M)

A: There should be no issue using the Metabones Leica R Lens to Leica L Camera T Adapter (Black) for cine-modded Leica R lenses with wireless FF motors; the adapter and lenses are manual.

Q: 2. Will it accept EF-S lens?

A: The Metabones T Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x Adapter for Canon Full-Frame EF-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds-Mount Camera listed above is designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount lenses. According to Metabones' website, EF-S lenses require modification to fit or may remain incompatible even after modification (but third-party DX lenses can be used without modification). Some EF-S and DX lenses may not have enough coverage of the entire image circle for stills after widening by 0.71x (but video will have enough coverage). They also state that the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Nano USM lens will not fit even after modification.

Q: 3. 24-70

A: Yes

Q: 4. I purchased this for my Panasonic GH5 and when I mount it to the camera it clicks in place, but there is still slight movement. It doesnt lock in tight. When I use a zoom lens for video it moves and effects the image.I have tried it on 2 bodies and both are the same. Does anyone else have this problem?

A: Unfortunately upon testing two of the same adapters here on display it seems to be a common thing with all of them. There is a little bit of play, not much, but enough that it is not solid in my opinion.

Q: 5. Will this adapter allow me to use a manual focus and exposure 42.7mm screw mount lens on my old Minolta 35mm SRT-201 camera?

A: The Bower T-Mount Lens to Minolta MD Mount Camera Adapter is only compatible with lenses have a T-mount fitting; a screw-mount lens will not be compatible.

Q: 6. Has there been a firmware update that allows the touch focus of the BMPCC 4k to work with EF lenses?

A: It is our understanding that this will work with the Pocket 4K touch focus.

Q: 7. This metabones is match for panasonic lumix g7

A: No, the following metabone will allow Leica M Lens to Leica L body.

Q: 8. Does anyone know if this will work with a Rokkor 58mm 1.2 ?

A: As long as the Rokkor lens is an MD mount, the Metabones Speed Booster Ultra 0.71x Adapter for Minolta MD-Mount Lenses to FUJIFILM X-Mount Camera will be compatible.

Q: 9. Does this give a full frame field of view or a super 35?

A: This adapter only changes the effective focal length of a lens by 0.71x plus it essentially provides about 1 extra f-stop. For example if you were using the Canon 60mm f2.8 lens on your camera with a regular adapter (not a booster), the lens would look as if you were using the Olympus 60mm f2.8 lens. Using the booster, the Canon lens would look more like a 43mm lens but the aperture would be equal to f2.

Q: 10. It works with Leica SL3?

A: Yes, the Metabones Leica M Lens to Leica L Camera T Adapter (Black) will work with the Leica SL3 Mirrorless Camera (BH #LESL3).

[Brass] Great quality and fitment for my Minolta Lenses. T adapter part with another small adapter levels and supports the lens well using the Smallrig camera cage.

[Leica L] This is the third Metabones adapter I've purchased. The build is solid and precise. If there's a down side, it's that coupled with old glass, considerable weight is added to the camera. But with all things photographic, you can't have everything! I like having an adapter for each of my Sonys. And the tripod foot makes all the difference in the world.

[0.62 lb] It's great to be able to use my old Minolta lenses on the Sony a7. I'd had them attached, with another adapter, to a different Sony (dslr), and that worked well enough. But that particular adapter by necessity had some glass in it, as part of the adaptation process. Almost every lens adapter will have this glass (otherwise the lens is transformed into a sort of macro lens). This extra glass caused a little bit of fog in my photosthis fog was inevitable, but it was still worth using with the Minolta lenses because they're so good, and new lenses of the same focal length and aperture would be really expensive. This Metabones adapter, however, has no extra glass in it, and the Minolta lens is adapted more directly. They've done this while still preserving the original properties of the adapted lens, so that they don't turn macro. This means little to no fog in the photos! It's really rare to find this for film lens adapters. It's fantastic to use these lenses on a mirror camera. If I wanted to buy similar lenses for the a7 they would cost over $1000, but this adapter is inexpensive and high quality, and essentially saves you that much money. Very easy to use, too. Adds a little bit of bulk to the lens attachment area, but well worth it.

[0.62 lb] Worth every penny. Solid fit. Works smoothly with the Voigtlander 35mm M mount.
I use it with my Leica CL
Plus the combined price( lens plus adapter) will not cause you to skip a mortgage payment if intent on owning a Leica 35mm, new or used.

Only wish it came with caps for both ends.
