Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this be able to pair with a ULX transmitter in the g50 band?

A: No, the Shure SLXD5 is only able to connect to SLXD receivers on the G58 band.

Q: 2. The frequency of Sony microphones is 548 - 607 MHZ. Can I use this system?

A: Although on a similar set of frequencies, the Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter would not be compatible with Sony wireless microphone system components. Unless specified compatible, most wireless products use their own proprietary communication protocols and are not cross-compatible with other brands making similar products on similar frequency ranges. The Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter is specified for use with the Godox WMicS1 Wireless Systems.

Q: 3. Would this work with the Shure MX412D?

A: Yes, the Shure SLXD3 Digital Plug-On XLR Transmitter is compatible with the Shure MX412D.

Q: 4. Would it be possible to in any manner whatsoever to use the SLXD3 with the ULXD or QLXD wireless systems from Shure?

A: The Shure SLXD3 Digital Plug-On XLR Transmitter is unfortunately not compatible with ULXD or QLXD systems. ULXD and QLXD systems do have (limited) cross-compatibility, but SLXD systems are only compatible with SLXD components.

Q: 5. whats the difference between this 2 kits Shure BLX24 Handheld Wireless System With Beta 58A Mic (J10: 584 - 608 MHz) and Shure BLX24/SM58 Vocal Wireless System Basic Kit (H9: 512 to 542 MHz)???

A: The Beta 58a is a different microphone. It is also in a different frequency block. The kit with the SM58 also comes with a bag, cable. and windscreen.

Q: 6. Is this just plug and play what else I need to play my instruments do I have to connected to my computer and download software?

A: The Shure BLX24/SM58 Wireless Handheld Microphone System is not an audio interface and cannot connect directly to a computer. To connect this or any other microphone/wireless system to your computer, you would need an audio interface such as BH #FOSCARSOLO3G. The BLX24/SM58 Wireless Handheld Microphone System also does not have any support for connecting instruments. It comes with a handheld transmitter, although beltpack transmitters with an instrument input are available separately.

Q: 7. BH should carry the Saramonic SR-VRM1 plug on unit. The Pre-Amps are VERY quiet, similar to a Tascam DR-100 mark III (which I bought from BH) the SR-VRM1 is NOT a wireless unit. It's a recorder. No wireless issues to worry about. I own 6 of these. Retails for $125US

A: Thank you for this great suggestion! We will have it listed in our list of Saramonic products shortly.

Q: 8. This network port can connect this microphone in Dante protocol?

A: The Ethernet port on the Shure SLXD4D Dual-Channel Receiver can be connected to a network switch which can then be connected to a Dante network. However, the Shure ULXD4D Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver and ULXD4Q Quad-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver both feature a Dante dual-port network interface for digital networking capability.

Q: 9. Is this prone to drop outs? Is it noisy, in quiet setting is there a high noise floor? What is the range of input gain adjustment? Can that be adjusted from the Receiver, is it viewable on the receiver ?

A: The Godox TX3-XLR Plug-On Wireless Transmitter features an adjustable 20 or 50mW output power option for a specified operating range of 196.9' / 60 m (Line of Sight), making it less susceptible to drop-outs. Noise floor experienced would be largely dictated by the specifications of the microphone connected. Although not specified, input gain adjustment is likely possible on the transmitter but not the receiver.

Q: 10. What type of Digital Wireless Receiver compatible with Shure GLXD2/SM58 Digital Wireless Handheld Microphone Transmitter with SM58 Capsule (2.4 GHz)?

A: This handheld mic transmitter pairs with the Shure GLXD4 Digital Wireless Receiver (2.4 GHz), BH #SHGLXD4Z2 or the rack mountable Shure GLXD4R Advanced Digital Wireless Receiver (2.4 GHz), BH #SHGLXD4RZ2.

[-54.5 dBV/Pa] I am a professional wedding DJ, do over 100 a year, for a living. Just got two of these mics, after calling Shure to find out which frequency is best for the Denver area (H22). The mics are awesome! I had an older SLX analog, and the difference is night and day. No drop outs, super solid signal, (and I have them buried in a podium, one with 1/4waves, and the distance mic has 1/2waves mounted on the outside of the podium. And the vocal reproduction is rich, and comes in with plenty of oomph. I paid up and got the Beta 58A mics, with rechargeable batteries.....it was an investment, but you truly get what you pay for and these mics do not disappoint.

[Battery] Shure's SLXD wireless line represents a major improvement. More frequencies, Wireless Workbench, great stability & sound quality. The bodypacks seem to be fairly power hungry, but good batteries can last the whole day. Supply chain issues stunted the rollout of the SLXD line. If you can find them, buy them! B&H seems to have stock when others are backordered.

[24-Bit] We decided to go wireless, with a little concern that it may introduce more variables and opportunities for static or dropouts.

This has been fantastic results. Love the freedom, strong signal, and full and crisp sound. Sounds better than our quite old wired mics. I was a little concerned if it would pickup stage monitor sound which are right in front of us, but that is no issue whatsoever.

I ended up buying more.

Just added the rechargeable batteries and docking stations and it EVEN BETTER. It provides more precise time estimates of remaining battery power, which are reasonably accurate.

[44 MHz] Works great. Sounds great.

In regards to the plastic pack that the other guy complained about, there's price points. If you want a metal pack buy the qlxd model. You will spend more money, go figure.

As they always do, they were very helpful in explaining the products and making recommendations with NO pressure to buy. They are my go to resource for all audio/video products.
