[2.695 lb] Hands down the best designed cage for the S5! It offers a bunch of protection and is super modular. The hand strap is well constructed and adds an upgraded level of comfort and security when holding the camera. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but there is even a slot on the bottom of the cage that slips into my existing SmallRig quick release plate. It seems like Zacuto thought of everything when designing the cage. I highly recommend it!

[2.695 lb] Yes, as Zacuto mentioned in their promo. ... probably the last baseplate you'll need to buy. It's truly the first time that I've found an ENG configuration for my GH4 DSLR that I like and feels comfortable in heavy use.

[2.695 lb] We counterbalance on tripods, but why not cameras for shoulder work?
Ive been shooting on Sony F5s and F55s with heavy cine zooms like the CN7x17 Canon PL zoom which, for off-the-shoulder work, throws your camera off balance making the camera very front heavy. 
This can be a problem because if youre shooting long days handheld, operators can get tendonitis in their elbows from the strain.
This is EXACTLY what you need to get the camera balanced again on your shoulder. With 10 of travel on the baseplate, it allows you to repo the camera weight with a variety of lenses. While it is slightly heavier than my previous baseplate, its well worth the slight increase in weight to get the shoulder counterbalance right.
And with the gel shoulder pad, its comfortable to use.
Good design with the adjustable rod height which can be flipped for increased height.
Cant recommend this product enough.
Wish I had it a long time ago.

[2.695 lb] After dealing with disappointment from how much the SmallRig Black Mamba cage flexed, I knew I needed a more robust cage for my GH6. Through my research, I’ve found this to be the GH6 cage with the most points of contact on the camera body (two M2.5 screws on both side strap loops, and a 1/4” 20 on the base). Construction is sturdy, as it’s made of thick machined pieces. The top of the cage is essentially a 1/4” 20 cheese plate, and offers a NATO rail for top handle mounting. I’ve tested this cage with the LUMIX DMW-XLR1 while mounting a Zacuto top handle, and it’s a narrow fit, but I can confirm the cage is compatible. The left side also features a NATO rail, ARRI rosette, and a 3/8” 16 with locating pins, but there’s no mounting coverage on the right side, which is kept open to allow handheld operation on the camera body. I would have preferred to have the right side enclosed too, so a side grip could be mounted, but that’s a small issue. Front-to-back oriented Arca plate on the bottom of the cage is much better for tripod configurations and works perfectly with Zacuto’s ACT baseplate. Hands down the best cage for this camera.

[Universal] Great shoulder rig with a super comfortable pad. The Arc style plat works great and the rig is super well made. Makes shoulder work a dream even when shooting all day.Highly recommend and fits DSRL and my smaller cinema cameras perfectly.

[2.695 lb] I've used the original VCT and this is a pretty solid upgrade. The sliding plate it amazing as I often have to adjust when switching from a huge lens to a small one- it was a huge pain before but is quick and simple now. The rosette on the right is nice and helps save space on the rails when mounting a handgrip. It's about as small as can be while still being incredibly useful.

The base plate is a bit awkward with the small rig rod attachments but it's fixed with a few more accessories. The side strap is strong and classy. I bought the top handle too which is another engineering marvel. This has certainly increased my versatility on long shoots and instant grip change with the Zacuto handle handling like a nunchaku. Great ergonomics but I wish the cage came with extra screws. Mine fell out and it was a pain replacing it. Anyways. Great job guys! This review is after two years of owning it.
