Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How is the connection from XLR (+, -, gnd) to RCA which has 2 pin like? Do you have XLR to 2 RCA?

A: 3-pin XLR is a mono connector only, so there would be no benefit to an XLR to dual RCA adapter cable. When you adapt XLR to an unbalanced connection such as RCA or TS, pin 3 is discarded and the signal becomes unbalanced (Hot and Ground only).

Q: 2. will this work with a walkie talkie?

A: Yes but for the Kenwood 2-Pin Radios only.

Q: 3. I was trying to do something that I think can not be done with what I have. This cable is not meant to go from a XRL mic needing phantom power to RCA correct?

A: you cannot use this with a phantom powered mic unless the mic is a self powered model containing a battery

Q: 4. Would this work with a Comstar Flex system as a plug in?

A: I couldn't say for that exact system but having owned this product for a good few months now and with many different systems, I have found that on wireless systems everyone else on the network tells me I am very very quiet compared to wearing a generic headset - I believe this can be fixed by turning up the gain on the pack, but not all packs seem ti have this control. Wired systems I have never had any problems with.I have tried to contact eartec about this with no success as of yet.

Q: 5. Will this work with the Atem constellation since it has a 5 pin xlr input?

A: Yes, the Eartec Max 4G Double Headset with 5-Pin XLR Male Connector is compatible for use with the 5-pin XLR talkback connection on the Blackmagic Design ATEM Constellation Switcher.

Q: 6. Will this work with the AMIRA Live 1800 Camera Chain Set?

A: The Eartec Max 4G Double Headset with 5-Pin XLR Male Connector is designed for UltraLITE HUB Wireless Intercoms only. Compatibility with other systems cannot be gauranteed.

Q: 7. Does this work if I connect a Zoom F3 to a DJ soundboard if they only have RCA inputs? If so which RCA input should I plug it in

A: If you are trying to record audio from your DJ mixer into the Zoom F3, this Comprehensive cable will work for connecting an RCA output from the DJ mixer, to an XLR input on the Zoom F3.

Q: 8. Will this work with the new Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Pro ?

A: Yes

Q: 9. Will this work with Ikegami cameras?

A: No, this headset is specific to Eartec systems.

Q: 10. Is this Eartec Max 4G headset the direct replacement for the Eartec 3G or is it just another model? Is it fully functional with the PortaPhone Flex Series headset kit?

A: Thank you for yoru question. This model is a replacement 3G and should work no problem with the Portaphone

[3-Pin XLR Male] It's easy to make and put everything together. XLR connector rotates 360 degrees with tiny moves for more precise angle position. In addition, connector has a locking clamp to protect from pulling or twisting when the cable is made.

[3-Pin XLR Male] I like Switchcraft and Neutrik.- Both are superior brands and these are a good price from B&H..

[Thermoplastic] This low-profile XLR connector is exactly what we needed for our rack-mounted Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro 14-Channel Mic/Line Mixer to be able to close the rack cabinet door. Just be careful to insulate all bare conductors and solder terminals inside the shell. There is so little room inside the assembled shell that any un-insulated conductor WILL short out!

[Thermoplastic] These are awesome. I've used just about every XLR connector out there and these are the best bar none. Only two pieces, very solid grounding of the shell, and a tight grip on the cable. You can hand tighten the shell, but the all metal shell also has wrench flats so you can get it really tight. The Switchcraft green insulator takes a lot of heat without melting. I have never had a problem with these mating with any other brand connector. And the price is right.

[3-Pin XLR Male] I have decided to use XRLs rather than 1/4 jacks for my mike and unit patch bay. These connectors will work nicely and have more space to solder than the 1/4 jacks do.
