A: you cannot use this with a phantom powered mic unless the mic is a self powered model containing a battery

A: 3-pin XLR is a mono connector only, so there would be no benefit to an XLR to dual RCA adapter cable. When you adapt XLR to an unbalanced connection such as RCA or TS, pin 3 is discarded and the signal becomes unbalanced (Hot and Ground only).

Q: 7. Is this Eartec Max 4G headset the direct replacement for the Eartec 3G or is it just another model? Is it fully functional with the PortaPhone Flex Series headset kit?

A: Thank you for yoru question. This model is a replacement 3G and should work no problem with the Portaphone

A: This particular cable is a mono ts connection on the 3.5mm connector. It would only see the L channel of a stereo signal. There are no resistors in this cable.

[6 x 4 x 0.8"] I have decided to use XRLs rather than 1/4 jacks for my mike and unit patch bay. These connectors will work nicely and have more space to solder than the 1/4 jacks do. 5

[Thermoplastic] These are very nice XLR connectors. There are only two parts so they go together very easily. They are built from fairly thick metal so they are very hard to break or even get out of round. And finally, they look very good, they are clean and simple so if they end up in photos or video they do not draw attention to themselves. I have installed hundreds of these connecrors and have never experienced a failure of any kind. 5

[RoHS] These are awesome. I've used just about every XLR connector out there and these are the best bar none. Only two pieces, very solid grounding of the shell, and a tight grip on the cable. You can hand tighten the shell, but the all metal shell also has wrench flats so you can get it really tight. The Switchcraft green insulator takes a lot of heat without melting. I have never had a problem with these mating with any other brand connector. And the price is right. 5
