The Shure SLXD4D is a dual-channel digital wireless receiver compatible with all SLX-D transmitters and housed in a rugged single-rack chassis with two removable antennas. It is ideally suited for rackmounting in portable flight cases and long-term installations for small- to medium-sized venues, event spaces, conference rooms, houses of worship, and education facilities.

The system delivers crystal-clear, 24-bit digital audio with a wide dynamic range for natural vocal reproduction to presenters, vocalists, clergy, lecturers, and performers. It operates in the UHF band and uses Digital Predictive Switching Diversity technology to protect the transmission from interference and deliver a solid, reliable RF signal without dropouts.

The all-metal rackmount SLXD4D receiver offers intuitive LCD interfaces with meters for RF and audio output. It also offers 60 dB of gain control, and both mic/line XLR and 1/4" instrument outputs for each channel. Additional features include automatic frequency scanning and IR sync to easily link the transmitter and receiver to the same frequency.

You can run up to 32 mics simultaneously in the same space. Setting up multiple systems is made quick and easy via the Ethernet port which allows you to execute a coordinated frequency scan for all the connected receivers from a single location.

  • The SLX-D delivers 24-bit digital audio with a fast transient response and over 120 dB of dynamic range—resulting in clear, accurate sound.
  • The system operates in the H55: 514 to 558 MHz MHz UHF band with a 44 MHz tuning range and 1760 selectable frequencies, far away from potential Wi-Fi interference in the 2.4 GHz band.
  • Digital Predictive Switching Diversity uses a microprocessor to switch between the two antennas for the cleanest signal—before dropouts occur.
  • Low latency makes the system ideal for applications that require live sound reinforcement.
  • Spectrum-efficient digital transmission technology allows for up to 32 mics to be used at once.
  • Up to 10 compatible systems per 6 MHz TV band and 12 systems per 8 MHz band are supported.
  • Ethernet networking saves you time with coordinated group scanning between multiple receivers from a single location; TCPI command streams from third-party companies such as AMX and Crestron are also supported.

  • Housed in a tough, single-rack metal chassis with detachable antennas, the SLXD4D receiver is a great fit for A/V installations or as part of a portable rackmount rig—ready to travel to a meeting or event.
  • The SLX-D is engineered to provide outstanding sound for small- to medium-sized spaces and facilities—without costly, complicated features required primarily for large venues.
  • Intuitive front-panel controls and a high-contrast LCD screen with audio and RF meters makes set up a snap.
  • The auto-scan function automatically seeks out the cleanest available frequency for you. The receiver and transmitter then easily link to the same frequency via infrared.
  • The receiver offers up to 60 dB of adjustable gain, and the display shows you where the ideal level should be.

  • Adding UA874 active antennas or PA805SWB passive antennas increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference.
  • The UA844+SWB antenna distribution system (available separately) lets you stretch the power of your antenna pairs, giving you more on-air channels in less setup time.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the different between ad4q to ad4d?

A: The Shure AD4Q is a quad-channel receiver, and the AD4D is a dual-channel receiver.

Q: 2. Would I be getting what is shown in the photo? The all black 2020 device or the old original yellow device?

A: This listing is for the Saramonic UwMic9-RX9, the old orange version. The new version is called the UwMic9S (BH #SAUWMIC9SK2M).

Q: 3. is there a difference between buying this and two single channel digital wireless receivers ?. apart from saving some money

A: There is no difference apart from saving money and space.

Q: 4. how many handheld mics can the 2CH version support?

A: Wireless receivers can accommodate one transmitter per channel; the two channel receiver can connect to two, and the four channel version can connect to four.

Q: 5. Can I connect Sennheiser body packs to this receiver? If yes, are there any limitations or recommendations?

A: I'm afraid not. There is only one body pack that will work with that system and that is A Shure transmitter in the correct frequency block. Which is this B&H # SHULXD1J50A which you can find on the B&H website. You cannot mix different companies wireless systems together.

Q: 6. Do this Shure ULXD4Q come with 4 handheld wireless mics?

A: No. This is just the receiver by itself. You would purchase the 4 handheld transmitters separately, such as B&H # SHULXD2S5G50.

Q: 7. Does this come with a hard case? Does it come with a case? Is there a hard case for this and ideally a pair of transmitters?

A: No, a hard case is not included with the Shure ADX5D Axient Digital Dual-Channel Slot-Mount Wireless Receiver (470 to 636 MHz), As options for a hard case, the Pelican 1150 Case without Foam - Black (B&H # PE1150B), the Pelican 1150 Case with Foam - Black (B&H # PE1150FB), the Pelican 1120 Case without Foam - Black (B&H # PE1120B), or the Pelican 1120 Case with Foam - Black (B&H # PE1120FB) could work. For compatible transmitters, the Shure AD and ADX Series Transmitters can be used. A few of the options for handheld transmitters include the Shure ADX2/SM58 Digital Handheld Wireless Microphone Transmitter with SM58 Capsule - G57: 470 to 616 MHz (B&H # SHADX2SM58G5) and the Shure ADX2/B58 Digital Handheld Wireless Microphone Transmitter with Beta 58A Capsule - G57: 470 to 616 MHz (B&H # SHADX2B5857). The Shure ADX1 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter with TA4M - G57: 470 to 608 MHz (B&H # SHADX1G57), the Shure ADX1 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter with LEMO3 - G57: 470 to 608 MHz (B&H # SHADX1LM3G57), and the Shure ADX1M Digital Micro Bodypack Wireless Transmitter - G57: 470 to 608 MHz (B&H # SHADX1MG57) are options for compatible bodypack transmitters.

Q: 8. Is it compatible with other brands using the same frequency ranges?

A: No. This receiver only works with Saramonic UwMic9 system wireless transmitters.

Q: 9. How do I output two separate channels on this receiver? I see it only includes one 1/8" TRS to XLR cable.

A: The UwMic9-RX9 Dual Channel Camera Mount Receiver outputs a stereo signal which has both channels in one TRS 3.5mm cable. You can also use a stereo 3.5mm to dual XLR cable like B&H # HOHMX003Y or an equivalent 'Y' interconnect.

Q: 10. How many watts does the Shure ULXD4Q pull down?

A: As per Shure, 7.6 watts.

[1760] I've used the Shure SLXD series now at 8 events. They've been great. I bought the rechargeable batteries and I'm getting 7.5 hours out of them. The setup is fast. They scan the open frequencies in less than 10 seconds. Very happy with this series!

[1760] Solid performance for the money. I get clean coverage all over our church on just low power. And the audio quality is great for this price. The body packs are plastic, so be gentle. A good upgrade from the obsolete analog slx system we had.

[>70 dB] As a Wedding DJ, I have a console with room for only one 19-inch rack mount mic receiver. I was going to buy two single units, but I didn't want four antennas. I stumbled across the SLX4D4 that's two receivers in one that only uses two antennas... PERFECT! And, it's easy to configure and sounds fantastic!
