Connect the TP-Link TL-SM311LM Mini-GBIC Multi-Mode Moduleto a compatible switch to extend data transfer distances. This module is compatible with all SFP ports and works with a multi-mode fiber connection using the IEEE 802.3z protocol to transfer data at up to 1.25 Gb/s. Featuring a 850nm wave length, the TL-SM311LM has a transmission range of up to 1804.46' using 50/125 µm multi-mode fiber cables and a 902.23' range over 62.5/125µm multi-mode cables.

A: Mine doesn't show manufacture daye or vendor but it works fine. An engineer friend at work recommended it.

A: The TP-Link TL-SM5310-T 10G SFP+ to RJ45 Adapter Module BH #TPTLSM5310T should work with B&H#SOLO10GSFPT3 although we have not tested this so I could not guarantee it. Sonnet recommends buying their own transceiver which we do not carry but you can find online by searching for Sonnet SFP+ Transceiver (10GBASE-T) Part No. G10-SFP-T.

[CSMA/CD] I use these on my SX3008F v1.20 and my SG3428X v1.30. I didn't need to do anything special in the Omada Controller for any 10GbE links to any device. I also didn't have to do anything special in the settings when linking the SG3428X to an EAP670, even though the latter has a 2.5GbE port. I used a Trendnet PoE adapter, which connects to the module. With these modules plugged into the 10GbE ports on my SX3008F, and with the other ends of the cables going to my ASUS gaming PC motherboard (2.5 GbE) or to my unmanaged Netgear 5-port switch (1GbE), I needed to check Enable for Flow Control in the Omada Controller for the port. 5

[1x Duplex LC/PC] I am using only 1 of the adapters in my TL-SX3008F is working out so far (I don't think more than 1 will work in the low powered switch). It is quite hot compared to the DACs and Fiber SFPs. I am using it along with the TL-POE260S PoE+ injector to provide my EAP670 v2 with a 2.5G ethernet connection. The switch doesn't let you choose 2500Mbps on the port because it isn't supported, but it does link at 2500Mbps. 5

[0.15 lb] I needed a few 10G SFP+ to RJ45 Adapters for my tp-link 10G router and 10G switches, where a DAC cable couldn't be used. B&H had them in stock, the lowest price, and the fastest shipping. Keep them spaced out and wear gloves when removing, they get a little warm. 5
