A: Regarding the Global Truss Straight Segment for F32 I-Beam Truss System (6.56'), Global Truss recommends to use three of these 6.56' segments supported by a minimum of 4 points for a 20' span.

Q: 10. Do Matthews Baby Pin Grid Clamps fit onto the outer diameter of this truss, or should I try using Yoke Adapter Clamps fitted specifically for truss instead? Grid clamps usually max out at 1.9 inch OD pipes (I haven't been able to fit any OD measurements for Global Truss as far as I can tell), but they're a single piece of metal with a cheeseborough-type design which seems more secure to me than a yoke adapter clamp, but if a grid clamp doesn't fit on truss then I guess I'll have to make do.

A: A Matthews Baby Grid Clamp can work on a truss with a maximum diameter of 1 1/2". However, the Global Truss SQ-4112 has a diameter of 2", therefore they're not compatible with one another. [40 x 12.5 x 12"] I got a great deal on these from a B&H sale. Global Truss is premium brand in trussing and they fit together with my other brand trussing without issue. 5

[3.3' / 1 m] Global Truss has been in our inventory for decades. Solid, quick, and easy to assemble. Only tool needed (if at all) is a hammer. We do not build over 40ft spans with 2 pick points, and are only hanging loads under 1000 pounds. I have a bunch of I-Beam truss as well, and would recommend the triangle or box truss exclusively. Even with light loads (drapery), I've had I-Beam truss roll over on its side and collapse on me. Box and Triangle truss are easier to work with in this regard. These trusses are also really great as stage décor with truss warmer lights. 5
