A: I use the extension unit with a brick battery attached so it fits fine for me. I could see how it would be loose without that stuff. The only issue I had was trying to attach the control handle the best way possible. The only other slicker I've heard of is made by Camrade. I'm sure there are reviews out there somewhere. A: This rain jacket will accommodate devices plugged into the audio XLR ports of the BM Ursa Mini. WRT the SSD deck it will get a bit snug if it is piggy-backed behind a v-lock battery - however with a little ingenuity a flap extension could easily be fabricated out of similar fabric and Velcro .

Q: 9. I have a shoot scheduled for the Fall in Alaska (Rainy weather). Will this raincover keep my FS7 dry through regular shoulder mounted use?

A: We shoot handheld in a lot of rainy weather and it works well. Porta Brace works better than the other rain covers available. It's not 100 percent rain tight but it will work better than anything you can find. Alaska is really wet. It should provide the best protection.

Q: 10. two things --the picture shows a different camera than the PMW FS7 ?are there pics of the PMWFS7 with the rain cover?will it fit an FS7 with the extension unit and v-lock battery & radio mic?

[1.05 lb] Received my new rain slicker a few days before a big outdoor FS7 shoot where forecast was looking bleak. It was perfect timing! Like one should expect from Portabrace, this product specifically designed for the new Sony FS7 is easy to build onto the camera, and operational controls are easily accessed. Covers the camera completely including the XDCA adapter with battery. I do recommend using a matte box to protect the front of the lens from moisture but also to prevent compromising the image since the drawstring can wrap around the edge of a matte box. No need for the XL version of this product unless you plan to mount external monitor/recorder on the rear. Great value. 5

[1.05 lb] I made this work with my C300 & Gratical finder. I mount the LCD on the back of a shoulder plate, so the camera is not so tall, and more weight is near the back. This rain cover worked pretty well with the EVF, lens, and camera parts in this configuration. 5

[Black] An initial test with light but consistent rain for about 10 minutes shows this material repelling the water, beading up and no penetration. It is a little bit tricky to see through the clear plastic when water droplets are all over it along with sky glare, but that is not a design flaw- just something to be prepared for and mitigate. The intended purpose of protecting the C70 in the rain while allowing access to view and grip is a success so far. Quality material and stitching. Easy to wipe off afterward as all the water just beads up on the surface. 5

[1.05 lb] I actually use this more for dust than rain. Have had other tight fitting products for camcorders which were difficult to access controls, this product is not, all camcorder controls easily accessible, would highly recommend. We are filming deer videos, early and late hours, so all camcorder functions are by feel, easy to access camcorder controls. Will be able to test better next month, will be in Mexico for two months in a very dust environment. 5
