The cocoa Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic for Beyerdynamic Wireless Transmittersis a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6 earset's cable terminates to a LEMO 4-pin connector for direct connection to Beyerdynamic TS-170, TS-170p, VHF TS-190, and TSP wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Q: 3. Is there a latex adapter to fit most on-board mic holders, i.e. Sony sound handle, etc?

A: Yes, you can use the Sanken ROCS Rubber O-Rings for CS-1 (10) (B&H # SAROCS) to create a better fit for the Synco Mic-D2 Hypercardioid Shotgun Microphone with the mic holder on most cameras.

Q: 4. do you need a pop filter with this mic?

A: It depends on the type of application the mic will be used for. If you are using it in the studio as a vocal mic, then you may want to use a pop filter. For on-camera applications or if you use it on a boompole, a foam or furry windsheld should be all you need to protect the mic and avoid picking up wind noise.

Q: 5. Would adding a Cloudlifter CL-1 help with the loud noise floor?

A: No, the Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter CL-1 Mic Activator will not help reduce the noise floor when used with the Synco Mic-D2 Hypercardioid Shotgun Microphone.

Q: 8. Does this mic pick up cellphone signal static? Example during downloading or a livestream.

A: The Rode VideoMic Me-C should not pick up cellphone signal static but occasionally after updates to you Android operating system, there can be compatibility issues with the microphone that can cause clicking, distortion, or other noises. To resolve this and avoid any issues with incompatibility, Rode recommends that anytime you update your Android operating system, use the Rode Reporter app to check for firmware updates. The VideoMic Me-C is regularly updated with new firmware to ensure compatibility with current Android operating system updates and new Android devices. If you ever experience issues with your microphone or have updated your device, be sure to update your firmware using the Rode Reporter app.

Q: 9. Since this plugs into the lighting port you can't charge and record audio at the same time which is a flaw. If a lighting splitter was used on the phone with this going to one port and the charger going to the other will it work? Will still need to rig it so the mic is not just dangling from the dongle.

A: It might, but neither Rode or Apple would approve. We have not tested this work-flow as this mic has not begun shipping.

Q: 10. Will this work with the output of a Vocaster 2 (1/4") to Mic input of a ATEM Mini Pro (3.5")? If so what connectors do I need?

A: The ART CLEANBoxPro does not convert Line level to Mic level, so it would not be suitable for connecting the monitor outputs of an interface to the mic input of a switcher. However, its 3.5mm output could be used in conjunction with an attenuator cable such as BH #WHH4NL3.5 for this purpose.
