This white MCS Framatic Metro Frame 11x14 Glass 8x10 Mat Whitefrom MCS Framatic Metro Frame 11x14 Glass 8x10 Mat Whitefeatures a glass window size of 11 x 14" and a white paper mat opening of 8 x 10". Rather than being made from cut and joined lengths of pre-finished molding, the Metro frame features a 1/4" thick panel of MDF laser-cut into a frame without mitered corner joints. Wood molding is attached to the back, creating the space for backing and up to 5/16" of artwork. The frame is painted after assembly to create a clean, classic-looking frame.

A: I can't remember if it came with a mat. If it did, I threw it out because I needed it solely for 8x10 photos. The frame is 8x10, no mat will work with an 8x10 photo. There's 2 hooks in the back, one to hang vertically and one to use for horizontal photos.

This box frame style has been around for a long time. I just bought a new one for one that I purchased decades ago. I designed a clock face to fit the specifications, picked up a used clock works from Goodwill, drilled a hole in the center of the frame so the hands would be on the outside and it's finished! Other vendors require an investment of a dozen frames. All I need is this one. 5
