[4.305 lb] I wanted to be able to securely install my Celestron Nexstar Evolution 8 telescope and tracking mount to a wheeled platform (ScopeBuggy) to facilitate moving my telescope between my garage and my backyard. When you're putting an expensive tracking mount, telescope and camera on wheels, you need to make sure there is absolutely no chance of your equipment tipping over. I purchased 3 Global Truss MINI 360 1.5 Truss Clamps to use as a means of securing each of my tripod legs to the ScopeBuggy. I just replaced the 10 mm wing nuts that came with these clamps with 10 mm round eye nuts (purchased from McMasster.com). The clamps install in seconds and fit perfectly on the Nexstar Evolution 8 tripod legs. They also do not cause any damage to the tripod legs. Once installed, I just wrapped rubber tie downs between the ScopeBuggy frame and each Global Truss MINI 360 1.5 Truss Clamp and I was good to go.

[4.9' (1.5 m)] I'm not using it for lighting or stage, but rather a ham radio antenna. I bought it specifically to use at the base of a mast pole that I needed to tilt over to where I could reach the top and do some work on it. Using this clamp and a pole pounded in the ground, I was able to tilt the top down without the base sliding away from me.

[4.305 lb] My most recent order of MINI 360 1.5 inch clamps came with a small surprise: The wingnut on the clamp mechanism has been upgraded from an ordinary wingnut to a chunkier aluminum casting that is easier to grab and tighten. That's a nice little improvement over what I have in the rest of my MINI 360 clamps. I tend to use the 1.5 inch version of the clamp when I'm not using truss, but instead using the uprights for pipe and drape. Because the pipe supports are vertical, it is a bit easier now to firmly tighten the clamp. Given the increase in price from a few years ago, I'm glad to see the increase in value. For the price, and when used for lightweight loads (pucks and HotBoxes), I think that the MINI 360 is a good value.
