Q: 6. does this paper fold without cracking? I would like to use it for a long concertina book and have been trying to find an art paper that won't crack when folded?

A: The problem you're having is that you want to fold against the paper's grain, as I assume your long length is coming out of the 50' dimension of the roll. Any inkjet paper will crack to some degree. You should be able to mitigate this by scoring the paper before folding, using a tool designed for such (google: paper scoring tool), or in a pinch use a ruler and paper clip. You want to put the score on the side of the paper away from direction of fold (not on the inside the fold).Alternatively, you could consider getting a 36 or 44 roll and cutting the strip you want to inkjet out of this roll (assuming 36 or 44 would be long enough for your brochure?). This would mean you'd be folding with the paper's grain anyway, though you'd probably still want to score the paper before folding anyway just to help.

Q: 7. What mil thickness is this paper?

A: Mil thickness 20 mil.

Q: 8. Does this paper have an ICC profile for Photoshop?

A: Printer profiles for the Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II to be used in Photoshop can be found here: https://www.canson-infinity.com/en/icc-profiles?fp=2727

Q: 9. How is Canson Infinity Photographique II different from its predecessor Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique?

A: The Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique II is slightly thinner than the original (11.9 vs 12.2mil) but other than that they are the same.

Q: 10. I was wondering if this paper is short grain or long grain.

A: The Canson Infinity Rag Photographique Duo Paper is short grain.

[Luster] I like the fact that this is 100% acid free paper and has a nice surface, giving the photograph a punchy look. Works perfectly in color or Black and White.

[310 gsm] I like the weight and stiffness of the paper. Monochrome and color images have extreme sharpness and fidelity of color and contrast. The back can be signed in pencil which I prefer. Wilhelm Institute has tested the archival quality of this paper for fading and it has one of the longest longevity of all papers.

[12.19 lb] I've been using this for several years on a recommendation from someone in the paper department. It's a great all-round paper that works for pretty much everything.

[310 gsm] I've always printed on cotton rag mat paper mostly because I did not want to swap out matte black and photo black inks on my printer. I've since purchased a printer with both matte and photo black inks My latest work is abstract and vibrant in color. The mat papers just don't work for these images. The Canson Baryta Photographique II paper gives me the colors and detail that I want. The surface is not glossy but satin and the Canson printer profiles are right on!

[98%] I've just started printing with the Photographique II paper and must say it is now my favorite paper. The surface has a beautiful sheen with the slightest texture you can see with sidelight. While I haven't done any technical testing of the paper, the blacks are rich and the color seems slightly more vibrant than some other papers I have used. I use a color-managed process (much like any good printer would do) and I find it comes closer to matching my NEC monitor than anything else I've used thus far (Exhibition Fiber, Innova Fibaprint, Museo, etc. - though these are excellent papers YMMV). I due like Hahnemule Photorag, and highly recommend that as well if you like a more stippled surface. Personally, I prefer the smoother surface or Phgoitographique but may love the Hahnemuhle paper. Whichever you choose, be sure to stick with it for a while to learn what it can and cannot do. I'm still at the beginning of my exploration of the Canson offering, but so far in love.

[Alpha Cellulose] I love this paper, but when compared head to head with their Platine Fibre Rag, it comes in second IMO. It is a less expensive paper comparably, and so is an excellent option if you don't want to spend the money on the Platine. Platine has a slight edge in dynamic range due to a slightly brighter base and a lovely luster like surface that is unparalleled IMO.
