The made-in-the-USA Mirror Image PT-15E Teleprompter Pan-Tilt Mountfrom Mirror Image PT-15E Teleprompter Pan-Tilt Mountfeatures a pan/tilt camera mount that enables you to track a small amount of talent movement. Compatible with almost any camera, this 1000 cd/m² bright 15" monitor has 15-pin D-Sub, BNC, and HDMI video inputs and a scan-reverse BNC loop output. It offers internal image reversal, a 60/40 glass, anti-reflective beamsplitter, a Cordura lens hood, and all metal, powder coated construction.

A: NO IT WILL NOT. YOU NEED THE CAM RANGER ATTACHED TO THE HUB FOR WIRELESS CONTROL.VERY NICE UNIT FOR THE PRICE.

A: I'm using it with a D700 and D800E and works great.

Q: 4. is it possible to control this with a ptz joystick controller?

A: No, the CamRanger PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt Head cannot be controlled by a PTZ joystick controller as they do not support the control protocols for the unit.

Q: 6. I cannot find a sample of how you use this to create panoramas. Can someone please explain the process? How do you program the CR? Where do you program amount of shots? Angles? Rotation speed? etc. Thanks!

A: GUILLERMO, happy to help! You also need the CamRanger wifi hotspot, and an iPad or iPhone or laptop with the free CamRanger software app. Their software is easy to use. It uses the live view function on your camera. After turning on the the CamRanger wifi hot spot, you connect to the CamRanger software to the camera via wifi with a range of about 300 feet. Everything on the camera is controlled by the software app, including focus, aperture, shutter speed, white balance,bracketing of shots . Software also controls pan and tilt head, rotation,number of shots, and rotation speed. Besides panoramas, it is also great for time lapse, macro photography, and bird photography. Only camera control that is missing is zoom... You can focus in and out with great precision, and even focus bracket your shots, all with their software. Be sure you have a good quality tripod that is rock steady. You will also need extra batteries for the CamRanger wifi hotspot , for your camera, and for the pan-tilt head. Another CamRanger app called CamRanger SHARE allows other people to view what you are seeing through the camera live view and review the photos as you take them. They only watch and review, but cannot change anything.

Q: 7. Would this also fit the one take only prompter? My glass broke on that one and am trying to find a glass replacement.

A: Yea, this unit works independent of the camera. The only interface is the tripod mounting screw which seems to be common across all platforms.

Q: 10. WHICH SOFTWARE COMES WITH? DOES IT WORK WITH ANY SOFTWARE?

A: Software is not included. It accepts HDMI, SDI, VGA, and composite video inputs and supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200.

[Metal] This is a simple, sturdy unit that has a really nice feature in that the prompter and camera mount are combined into a single unit making balancing very easy. The built-in height adjustment for the camera is terrifica as well, easily accomodating a smallish video camera as well as larger rigs with baseplates, rods, etc.. Fair warning, the entire unit is very bulky and you'll need a long case to carry it assembled, or something like a Pelican 1620 if you carry it broken down. Also, I didn't see a good way to protect the mirror other than inserting a piece of foam between the mirror and iPad tray during travel. Not a deal breaker, but moderately annoying. Function is excellent - talent likes it and it is far easier, safer and more professional than trying to jerry-rig something. 5

[Metal] Owned a CamRanger and then upgraded to CamRanger 2. Really like it. Decided to add the PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt. After a small snag (MP-360 didn't work...found I had one dead battery) I am VERY happy. Intuitive to use. Accurate. Great images first time out (while in the warmth of my home got some great bird pictures). Would recommend if you have the $$ and desire. 5
