A: The RAW file with compression is 42MB. With compression turned off it's 85MB. When you turn that file into a tiff, for example, the file is around 120 MB. A: Sony does not describe this camera as weather-sealed. I would not venture out into bad weather without being careful. It is extremely well-made with tight tolerances but lacks the necessary rubber grommets and O-ring seals that would keep rain (or seriously high condensation) from getting inside the Zeiss lens barrel (biggest concern) or under the many exterior control rings thereby possibly exposing the electronics to moisture.
