Designed with portability in mind, the Dracast X Series LED1000 Bi-Color Light Panelfrom Dracast X Series LED1000 Bi-Color Light Panelfeatures an adjustable color temperature range from 3200 to 5600K in a slim, significantly larger panel compared to the LED500. It allows easy integration with either tungsten or daylight fixtures or matching the ambient light of an existing environment. With a high CRI rating of 96, this 17 x 8" panel offers superior color rendition across the CCT range as well as extended control and power options. A diffusion filter is supplied to produce soft, even lighting for your interviews, portraits, and other scenarios in the studio or on location.

This 70W light can be adjusted manually via the control panel on the back of the fixture or by using the Dracast DRX app available for iOS and Android devices. The panel includes an installed mounting yoke with a 5/8" Baby Pin receiver for fast and easy mounting on compatible light stands or suspension clamps. The X Series 1000 can be used worldwide via the included 100 to 240 VAC adapter but it will also run on two optional NP-F-type batteries in situations where AC power is unavailable. A soft carry case is included for convenient storage and transport of the light.

More specifically, what is the complete CRI standard (R96a, or CRI Extended...)?I will not buy any light without knowing how it compares to the old standard of tungsten. Yes, the CRI of tungsten can reach 98 but that number is not based upon measuring the quality or saturation that I require. I am most interested in R9, R13, and R15 as per skin tones.

    A: Agree... depending of course on the ISO and depth of field you want to work with. Though as you soften the light, your ISO will need to rise. Should work though! Love the light...

    A: 1 Foot candle = 1 Lumen per square foot 1 Foot Candle = 10.57 lux The photometrics tables can be converted 3800 lux/353 fc at 3.0' / 0.9 m = 3800 lux/353 lumens at 3' Using these formulas you can compare, but the results will not accurate as every lighting company uses different measuring equipment and different environents for testing.
