According to Aputure, the Light Dome II has metal rods that go into a speed ring that attaches to our light heads such as the LSC120DII, LSC300DII, LS300X, etc. It come with a Bowens adapter to adapt to many of our Aputure Light units. The issue is that the Light Dome II has the poles permanently attached to the speed ring adapter. This allows a quick and easy set up and take down. However, because of this design, it is not good for travel. The Light Dome SE does not have this issue. It allows your customer to set it up quickly and take it down fast as well. Because the Speed Ring Adapter is NOT attached to the poles, the unit can become very compact for travel issues. If your customer is going to use the product in the home or studio, the Light Dome II is the best option. If they will be on location traveling, then the Light Dome SE will be the best choice.
