This 1- to 5-stop K&F Concept Nano-X Green ND Filter 37mm 1-5 Stopfrom K&F Concept Nano-X Green ND Filter 37mm 1-5 Stopis a 37mm variable neutral density filter providing an adjustable light reduction of 1 to 5 stops. It darkens the entire image evenly, allowing a photograph to be made with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing the exposure time or increasing the aperture, it is possible to control the depth of field and create motion blur, creating a dynamic look for streams, waterfalls, landscapes, and more. This multicoated variable neutral density filter does not affect the color of the image, and it features a waterproof and scratch-resistant coating for durable performance in the field.

Q: 1. What lens cap will fit this 77mm filter?

A: You may use any 77mm lens cap. Here are some examples https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/806450-REG/Sensei_lc77_77mm_Center_Pinch_Snap_On.html or https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/850508-REG/Sony_ALC_F77S_ALC_F77S_77mm_Front_Lens.html

Q: 2. Can you use a lens hood with this? I am new to photography and can't seem to find one that would fit in or over this

A: The front of the K&F Concept Nano-X Circular Polarizer plus Variable ND2-ND32 Filter (58mm) is 62mm so you can attach a 62mm hood such as this: https://bhpho.to/3gdgVNq

    Q: 3. Can I put it on a sigma 30 mm lens?

A: In theory you could with a step down ring, but you'll get vignetting on the edges. I'd recommend getting the correct 52mm filter.

Q: 4. Does lens have lens cover threads?

A: No, this filter has no front threads.

Q: 5. Does the 100-500 lens cap fit/work on filter?

A: Unfortunately 100-500 lens cap does not fit or work on K&F Concept Nano-X Magnetic Variable ND8-ND128 Filter (77mm)

Q: 6. I just bought this filter and I experience something weird. When I turn it over the darker ND dot, the filter seems to go even darker and the photo look like a IR shot (all purple). Yesterday I set the filter at his darker point. I took a photo : f.14, 2.5s, iso 100. Then I turn further the filter and it became darker. So I change the time and I hand to go further as 60sec to get proper expose photo.. but in the viewfinder, it was all purple. Is that normal? I use it on Olympus em10II and 14-42 kit lens

A: The K&F Concept ND2-ND400 Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter (58mm) is only rated to perform properly till 8.6 stops. Going beyond the specified maximum may degrade image quality. Additionally with higher levels of light reduction one runs the risk of IR pollution in the image. As you reduce visible light you are more suspect to this pollution, which could be why you are seeing the strange colors.

Q: 7. I'm using a B&W 77mm KSM HTC polarizer. Will this filter thread on to my polarizer?

A: Your B+W High-Transmission Circular Polarizer would have a front thread to accept another filter like the K&F Concept ND8-ND2000 Nano-X Variable ND Filter with Multi-Resistant Coating (77mm).

Q: 8. Will this work with the Sony A7SIII?

A: This filter will work with any lens with a 67mm thread.

Q: 9. Is there any polarization effect with this filter?

A: The K&F Concept ND2-ND400 Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter (82mm) reduces exposure, but there is no polarization effect.

Q: 10. Does this have threads on the front side too? I'd like to attach a lens hood

A: Yes, this does have front filter threading. You can attach a lens hood to this filter.

[0.11 lb] The VND itself looks very good. No ugly X over the image. The game changers for me are the hard stops on the variable ring and the magnetic mount. I got rid of my tiffen immediately.

[0.11 lb] I'm no filter snob, but this seems like an outstanding build quality to me, the case they send for it is a wonderful touch as well. Feels nice, looks nice, does what its supposed to do, great case. What's not to love K&F makes good, reasonably priced products; and I've never had an issue with anything purchased from them, this is not the exception.
