The 49mm Screw-on Tulip Lens Hood from Sensei mounts onto your camera lens to prevent glare and lens flare by blocking out stray light. The lens hood also adds shock absorption to help protect your lens from impact damage. It easily screws onto any lens with a 49mm diameter and includes a locking collar for consistent positioning. As this lens hood can be used with lenses of varying focal lengths, its tulip shape is designed to prevent vignetting while still blocking unwanted light from entering your lens. The hood is ideal for full-frame lenses with focal lengths longer than 20mm, and APS-C lenses with focal lengths longer than 15mm.

Q: 2. Will this fit and work properly on a Fujifilm 18-135mm zoom lens?

Q: 3. I use a Sensei 58mm to 72mm adapter ring to mount 72 mm filters on my Lumix 12-35 lens. This works fine, except I cannot use the original lens hood and the front glass is exposed to direct sunlight. Will this lens hood feel the bill, without vignetting? Thanks in advance.

A: I did have some problems with the tulip design. It did show up in the picture. What I have to do is check the picture out before taking to make sure.

Q: 7. Will this work on the Canon SX50HS ?

A: You could use the sensei 67mm screw-on lens hood with the SX50 HS, though you would need the Canon Filter Adapter FA-DC67A (B&H# CAFADC67A): the SX50 HS doesnt have a standard front filter thread. You would be better off using one of the bayonet hoods designed for the SX50. They dont require an adapter.http://bhpho.to/1nn2qS6

Q: 8. Does a CPL screw inside of this hood ??? J. Payne

A: A CPL would work inside this hood, however whenever you'd want to change the polarization it might not be so convenient.

Q: 10. will this fit n the canon 8-14 fisheye lens ?

[Plastic] It threads onto the filter that I have on my 15-45 mm M-mount lens.
I’ve never used a tulip shaped hood before. No problems yet!

[Thread] I use this for my 50mm lens on my 135 cameras. It will work on slightly shorter lenses *like a 35mm), but you have to be careful where you place the blades (don't accidentally rotate them from the TOP position) or you'll see vignettes in your images (which don't always show up in the viewfinder).
