At 3.8 x 2", this CAMVATE Multipurpose Cheese Plate | Compact & Versatile Designhas a fairly compact design and can be used in numerous ways with various gear. For example, it can be attached to a slim camera cage to hold a device such as a wireless transmitter. The plate features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes and also multiple unthreaded slots that support 1/4"-20 screws. Five 1/4"-20 screws are included, one of them a knurled type that can be secured tool-free.

A: The 8Sinn Cheese Plate is not designed to fit to any particular cage. It will mount to many cages regardless of make.

[4.1 oz / 117 g] I bought this and the SmallRig Top Handle with ARRI-Style Anti-Twist Mount (Lite) for my new Canon C200B. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of these products, especially considering the costs. [4.1 oz / 117 g] Although it's designed to go on the top of a Blackmagic URSA Mini Camera, I found other use of the multi-purpose capabilities. The dimensions are just right for mounting between a QR plate and a camera or audio device to align for proper balance on a tripod head. The 10 screw slots allow flexibility that the standard cheese plate doesn't have, such as mounting a microphone with screws (bought separately). Gone are the days I have to worry about my mic loosening and falling out of the cold shoe because of varying weather conditions, not to mention the wind vibrations caused by mounting a mic directly onto the camera. It's a sturdy build, good price point and truly multi-purpose. 5

[0.28 lb] I got this because I was curious if this could make a good battery mounting plate for my rig. I noticed the top and bottom 1/4 20 mounting points might serve me well coupled with Smallrig's 2 pack Rail Block kit. And it did. It's a great setup for my rig as I run top and bottom rails for accessories. 5

[0.28 lb] I did not exactly use this for its intended purpose. I unscrewed the clip and used this with some washers and screws to mount a small, portable 13 LCD monitor to an Elgato stand/arm. This plate is perfect for mounting small monitors to tripods or stands that use the standard screw sizes they all use. You can also bungie a battery pack or something to this and then mount it to a tripod, which I also did. 5
