The Watson Pro Micro V-Mount Battery Plate Belt Clipsupports a single Watson or 3rd-party micro V-mount battery, and it offers a D-Tap output for connectivity to your camera, light, or other device or accessory. Compatible D-Tap adapter cables are sold separately, based on your device. This handy plate features an all-metal belt clip that can be secured to your belt or a similar strap, so you can stay mobile while shooting run-and gun-interviews, documentaries, and sporting events.

A: Yes, the Watson Pro Cine High-Load V-Mount Battery will fit on the Smallrig V-Mount Battery Adapter Plate because both devices use the V-lock system. 148Wh is more than enough to power a Sony A7SIII and Atomos Ninja V. The Ninja V's max power consumption is 22W and will last 6.7 hours with this battery (Sony does not state the power consumption for the A7SIII).

[1x D-Tap] First of all, I'd like to remind you that these plates not only accepts Micro V-Mount but ALSO accepts full size V-Mount batteries! it's the same V size. These will go well on anything rod like from 19 to 22 mm. I've tested this on an Amazon Basic stands which I use a lot for loading lighter items since those stands are so light and it will fit on the lower section tube of that stand. So. to me that's perfect. It would be cool if Watson came up with a figure 8 on this unit, divided in 2 sector design so it would accept a wider range of diameters. The screw would be then located at the largest part of that 8 shape, which would take care of both ways you try to place that on. But if you require a larger pole to mount your battery, Watson also makes on just for that. The quality of those threads is so good, it would fly out if you don't catch it on time. Excellent craftsmanship. You won't be turning that wingnut over and over. It's a simple tap on that wingnut and it's OUT. If you want something that mounts fast and to be able to mount your battery in the weirdest places, this is it! Caution should be taken as not all devices support 16.6 Volts, ESPECIALLY CAMCORDERS and small lights, with one exception such as the genaray TrailBlazer, a NPF battery based light that accepts voltages from 7.4 to 18 Volts! So that's not a problem since the unregulated voltage that leaves this adapter is a maximum of 16.5V, being the same voltage that usually outputs from the main connectors or D-Tap ports. That means, that you can install a FULL SIZE 200 WATT-HOUR V-Mount battery on that and it will be powered until next century at 100%. Read the manual of the device you're using this on, make sure it supports 16.6 volts and more. I'm all about convenience and ways to hack powering things, and this product is one heck of a very cool and needed adapter! [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5

[V-Mount] I did not exactly use this for its intended purpose. I unscrewed the clip and used this with some washers and screws to mount a small, portable 13 LCD monitor to an Elgato stand/arm. This plate is perfect for mounting small monitors to tripods or stands that use the standard screw sizes they all use. You can also bungie a battery pack or something to this and then mount it to a tripod, which I also did. 5

[V-Mount] This belt clip is essential for complementing your Micro M-Mount accessories. The belt is very strong, no sharp edges and slides on belt and directly on pants., or anything that has a 1/4 opening that you can slide this in. With featuring a D-Tap jack, plus the USB-A and C jacks from the battery, you can power multiple things while you're walking or moving around. You can charge your phone in your pocket via USB-A from battery , while powering a BlackMagic pocket cinema camera and a monitor as you go when your Rig is not available. There are lots of people including myself who will want to take professional video from an anniversary or vacation. And this belt clip will let me power my pro gear at full and free mobility, either on a shoot, or vacation. Once you feel the click on the V- Lock, that battery or belt clip is not going anywhere.
