A: As long as they have the same cardboard core and roll up to roughly the same diameter, I don't see why not. Otherwise they make an extension rod that can be used to support rolls with no tube.

Q: 2. ABout how high do you mount your bracket off of your wall? I will have the 9' wide rolls. Do you hang them 10-12' high?

A: There is no set high to mount it. You can mount it at the height needed.

Q: 5. For the metal chain, there are no instructions as to how to put it on the drive, as there are for the plastic ones. The plastic ones come opened up so they can be closed after threading. All I can figure out is that the varidrive has to be dissassembled to install the chain, Is that correct?

The Specifications tab for the Varidrive Set indicates it supports backgrounds up to a maximum of 22 lbs. For the record, a standard 107 x 12yds roll of seamless paper weighs approximately 17.5 lbs.

Q: 8. I'll be using this kit with 86-inch wide seamless paper (about 6 lbs per roll). I've read that one should remove the rolls after each use to prevent sagging in the middle and then issues unrolling/rolling. Have others found that to be the case? I was hoping I could leave these rolls up on these brackets for long periods of time.

A: That which you see in the picture is a set for one roll of paper. If you want to operate 3 rolls of paper, you need 3 of those sets. The 2 white things in the picture fit inside the opposite ends of the cardboard tube and can be expanded to fit tightly inside it. Thus installed they become the axle and bearing for the paper roll and they must be supported by some type of wall mounted angle brace that you supply. Once you have a wall mounted support capable of holding the paper rolls, you will need to make an additional simple adapter to hold the axles in place on top of your support.
