[0.375 lb] This is the perfect accessory for the peak design 30l day pack, especially if you are traveling with a lot of equipment. Easy install and straps tuck away when not in use make this an easy going travel companion. The waist belt takes the majority of the pack weight and distributes on to your hips relieving the shoulders of the burden. This is a must if you are doing any moderate to long hiking. I highly recommend this users of the peak design daypack series.

[0.375 lb] Bought it for my everyday 30l backpack and couldnt be happier. 30l of gear weights a lot but this little fella made carrying it no problem. Imho this should be standard with 30l backpack.

[0.375 lb] I bought the 30L PD travel backpack as my one bag for shorter trips. I love the bag alone but it is made much more comfortable with the addition of this hip belt, especially when it’s fully packed while standing in lines or public transport.

[0.375 lb] I have the Black Hip Belt. I find it very comfortable and it provides me with even more support during the day. It is not overly bulky in any way. I do wish it had a zipper pocket on the opposite side from the capture compatible side. But yeah when you have a V2 backpack with ample space why bother right? Either way its construction and design are wonderful. Plus it comes with a nice carry bag for when you are not using it which (I should've know it would) was very unexpected and a nice touch!

[0.375 lb] I lack the hip accentuation so your mileage may vary but I am a 30in waist and while the quality is very nice, this is a bit of a loose to difficult fit for smaller waisted gentleman and maybe ladies. Just thought I would throw that out there. It can be adjusted to "fit" but has a lot of slack and I wasn't feeling the utility. Kind of a lean-guy's problem I guess

[0.375 lb] I use my everyday backpack every day, and hiking is no exception. No matter how much is tuff in my bag, I know I can hike comfortably placing a lot of the weight on my hips. When I don’t need the hip belt, it’s super easy to either fold into the luggage pass through on my backpack or just pack away in the included carrying case. The loop and hook mechanism gives me confidence that I won’t have another broken plastic buckle to deal with, another genius move by PD. I haven’t tried the capture clip as I don’t have one, but I’m sure it’s a huge bonus.

[0.375 lb] I bought this or my Everyday Backpack V2 20L. I noticed it did not come with a hip strap like the V1 pack did so I picked this up. It works amazingly. It tucks away behind the back panel and the straps don't hang out when i'm not using them. The straps also don't hang out when I'm using it. It's very well padded and is overall completely worth it!

[0.375 lb] Everyone with the biggest « everyday backpack » and walk with while it’s full should have one. It permit you to have your shoulders better at the end of the day. That maybe should be by default with the bag in my opinion
