[3 oz / 85 g] I was looking for c stands that are out of stock at the moment so I purchased this handy dandy strip lighting duo. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they are built and the quality of the lighting the produce. The C stands are serious and not toys so Im a happy camper.

[0.35 lb] I think we have bought close to 10 of these by this point. It's a great light and we originally planned on using to light a cyc but we now bring them to interviews and use them as part of the kit. Typically as a hair light.

[0.35 lb] If you own a Genaray SSL series soft strip LED light, I highly recommend you pick up this 10' extension cable. It is very helpful and can make things easier. This series of lights come with a fairly long cable, but this extension cable can come in handy. It gives you an additional 10' distance to the dimmer control box which is helpful. If I know I want to go high with the light, this extension provides the length I need to allow the dimmer/control box to be down at the bottom of the stand and at a level for me to easily make adjustments. That is priceless and can save you time on a shoot. I want to be able to reach the control box easily and this extension cable allows that. This extension can also reduce some of the stress from trying to overextend the provided cable. It is also handy when the light is attached to a grid, and you are trying to reach the power that might be far away. The cable comes with locking connectors, so there is no fear of it disconnecting. That is appreciated, I always prefer locking cables. Having a cable disconnect when moving or adjusting a light is not only frustrating, but it's not good for the light and its circuitry. The build quality of this extension cable is good and identical to the one provided with the light. Again, this is a great and I feel necessary addition to the Genaray SSL series lights and makes things easier and faster. I highly recommend picking it up and adding it to your light kit. [4] I gave these five stars because they work perfectly for my needs. With a little trimming of foam, they are perfect for most DMX Strip Lights. Hard shell cases for strip lights are almost impossible to find, definitely at this price. The only thing that I would suggest, is to put a strap around it just for extra caution.

[4] We bought 8 of these for our green screen cyc and really like them! The construction quality is on par with more expensive brands. The quality of the light is great and the barn doors have a solid build quality to them.


I like the quality of these lights so much, the even and clean dimming that I use them now to also record my podcast with, choosing this as a quick and easy alternative over our more expensive lite panels and Apetures we also have.

[0.35 lb] There are times when I regret not having purchased DMX enabled versions of my studio lights. With this control paired to an SSL-836 I got first hand experience on the importance of remote control of studio lamps.
If there was an upgrade to the SSL-36 I would immediately buy one or each of my 4 lamps.
Now I am wondering if I can justify a few more SSL-836 lamps. This is not a substitute for all the functions of a DMX board, but it does what I need in the studio. I can dial in the lighting while looking at the exposure values on a camera waveform monitor.

[100' / 30.5 M] I had four of the SSL-36B lights. Two were used to light my greenscreen and two more were used as keylights. Before this remote, I had to go back and forth adjusting my lights and then looking at my waveform monitor in the camera. This remote has changed my life. I am able to adjust the intensity of the lights, while looking at my waveform monitor. No more going back and forth.
