Transmit video over long distances with the Camplex SFP HDMI 2.0 Extender with EDIDfrom Camplex. This transmitter and receiver kit is designed to leverage fiber-optic cables to send video and audio signals, making this ideal for many business and AV professionals.

Each unit requires you to install an SFP connector (available separately), allowing you to choose which type of interface for a maximum of 18 Gb/s bandwidth and 37 miles distance over single mode fiber. You can experience up to 4K resolution at 60 Hz refresh rate, enabling you to explore a wide gamut of color with YUV 4:4:4 support. Locking power supply connectors prevent accidental disconnections. Automatic Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) technology ensures your connected displays can properly read the host device, giving you proper video formatting. RS-232 terminals offer a pass-through function, enabling you to remotely control your equipment.

A: Everyone's correct, you cant. And the ones that you can, bandwidth is much lower (even Gigibit Ethernet) so there is compression at 1080.

Q: 3. does this do 3d?

A: Yes it does! I am currently using it to do exactly what you're asking about. You just set up the HDMI Detective for the highest denominator configuration and it will pass 3D if you put it on the input to your splitter.

Q: 5. I have a DVI-D PC monitor. When I use an HDMI to DVI cable, audio is not passed because the monitor's EDID tells the device it does not support audio. Can I use this to force audio to my monitor? Maybe spoof the input device to think its a regular HDMI monitor so it passes audio. I need to pass audio because I'd like to use an HDMI audio extractor in between.

A: As others have said, DVI doesn't support audio output. This will not work for you unfortunately.

Q: 6. Does it solve hdcp handshake problem?

A: This product does support HDCP as well. We are not aware of the specific problem you are facing, but that does support HDCP.

Q: 7. I'd like to take HDMI output from an AV receiver, feed it into a switch. Then have the switch output to one TV and have the 2nd output go into a second AV receiver. From this AV receiver I'll display the video on another TV and audio over the connected speakers. Will this switch support this use case?

A: This product is a Matrix Switcher that allows you to send any of its 4 HDMI inputs to any of its 2 HDMI outputs. You can send any input to any output. If you would like to send 1 input to the same 2 outputs that is possible with this unit.

Q: 8. will it solve a MacBook m1 handshake issue with LG TVs ??

A: The HDfury Dr. HDMI EDID Manager / Detective is made to solve HDMI source to display issues. It should do what you wish.

Q: 9. Trying to go out of a MBP to an HDMI splitter, but having issues. Someone suggested an HDMI EIED emulator. I guess I'm having handshaking issues? I get images on both sides of the splitter's output, but only for about 3 seconds, then it goes blank.

[1x SFP] I needed something to force a 1080p 60 EDID for a source device feeding a Blackmagic HDMI to SDI converter. Neither of the connected devices requires any kind of HDCP so I cannot speak to any issues that might arise from that. The HDMI EDID Ghost performed as expected. I used the hard setting and never attempted to copy an EDID. Time will tell whether or not the device is reliable. The device is doing exactly what I purchased it to do. 5

[Device: (3 W)] Used to run a 40' hdmi line that was dropping out. This solved the problem and now the projector will pick up hdmi input. Absolutely no loss of signal at all. 5

[1x SFP] This is the exact unit we needed. We had a MacBook pro connecting to an inexpensive 4x2 matrix. One output to a Samsung TV. One output to a BenQ projector. It would not give us a clear signal at the projector, if it gave us a signal at all. With this unit, we were able to fake the laptop into believing it was only connected to the BenQ projector. Problem solved! Worked like a charm. Highly recommended! 5

[2.14 lb] Cleaned up multiple EDID problems between an UHD disk player and a 4K Sony projector. The Atlona help line was fantastic. The technician could be reached instantly, was extremely knowledgeable and very gracious. This is a great product from a company offering world class technical guidance. 5

[2.14 lb] This came in fairly minimal packaging. All I had to do was open the cardboard box and pick it out. I plugged it in between my television and the computer and let it record the EDID, then I plugged it between the computer and the capture card. The Blackmagic capture card which had stymied so many of my attempts to capture a 1080p signal started working the way I wanted it to after inserting this EDID emulator into the chain. The rotary dial, by the way, was fairly resistant to accidental nudges. IT took a bit of effort to get the dial to change its position. 5

[Dolby TrueHD] This is an excellent little box. It's well built and does exactly what the manufacturer says it does. Setup was a breeze. The manual can be confusing but it basically reads/duplicates/changes and EDID HDMI/DVI signal. Why do you need this? Simple...If your monitor/TV is not talking to your input device properly for whatever reason, this will take care of that. You can select resolutions, color options on the fly and pass through sound as well. Why did I use this? I was trying to connect a PC output to an HDMI monitor of obscure resolution. I was greeted with a blank screen. I did some research and it turned out the Intel drivers do not support said resolution...so HDMI handshake was happening but that was about it. All I had to do is connect this box between the monitor and the PC and set it to a resolution that the Intel drivers understood...and voila...problem solved. The box continuously broadcasts the EDID signal so the computer thinks it's always connected. Perfect. 5

[1x SFP] I had an old GEFEN Detectiv HDMI since 2007 as component in my Media Center environement. After it has met its end of life I ordered the new one. It works as ecpected. For me it's unbelievable using a MCE without the GEFEN because of the often losing of HDMI signals. 5
