Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use it for touch screen? Without exposing my fingers :)

A: Hi--the zip flip fingertips are designed for that, so you would need to expose the end of a finger to use a touch screen.

Q: 2. How durable are these gloves? The 30 day limited warranty doesn't speak confidence on quality.

A: These gloves are very durable and should last a long time if well cared for.

Q: 3. Could you use these with a disposable hand warmer?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. In one of the zippered pockets there is a hexagonal metal piece attached to a cord. What is this used for?

A: That is a tripod key, mainly for helping to tighten down quick release plates to your camera.

Q: 5. Small = what inches ?

A: The hand girth measurement for the Extra-Small Vallerret Women's Nordic Photography Gloves 6.3 – 6.9 inches (16 – 17.5 cm), and the hand length measurement is 6.1 – 6.5 inches (15.5 – 16.5 cm). The EU size equivalent is EU 6. According to the sizing chart, it states the girth of the hand is measured by measuring around the widest part of your hand with a relaxed open palm. The hand length is measured from the base of the hand to the tip of the middle finger.

Q: 6. How do these compare to the Women's Nordic Photography gloves? Which would be warmer? What about sizing?

A: The womens Nordic Gloves are going to be water resistant and have a Merino wool liner so they would be the better choice to go with in the cold. Sizing wise it is roughly the same.

Q: 7. Are the pockets located on the back of the hand, and are the pockets large enough to hold "Heat Factory" hand warmers from REI?

A: The pocket is located on the back of the glove, however they are not large enough for hand warmers.

Q: 8. What is the size guide for these gloves?

A: You can find the size guide on the Vallerret website.

Q: 9. are these touch screen compatible ?

A: Yes because you can remove the fingertips so that you have access to your fingers.

Q: 10. Are these sized for men or women? I wear a medium in women's gloves. What size would I be with your gloves?

A: These gloves are typically in men's sizes, however, there is a version for women. Click the link below to see the women's version; https://bhpho.to/2Ydb1Fl

[Leather, Wool] These gloves are just what I needed - something that is fairly warm but not too bulky and lets me free my fingers when I need fine control of the camera or need to use the touch screen. And the rest of the time they look like nice leather gloves that happen to be very comfortable.

[Leather, Wool] Hello,
I just receive this product and it's a good product but I choose a too large size. Is it possible to change to the M size?
And if it's possible, can you tell me the deadline to receive the new one after I send you the product?

Thank you for your return.

[Leather, Wool] The leather exterior feels like a second skin. These gloves fit snuggly which helps with the open finger feature.

[Unisex S] A year ago, I was shooting outside. using tablet, and trying to hold a camera is always a difficult balancing act. Vallerret Urbex makes this much so much easier. Urbex gloves allows you to expose your fingers to adjust buttons while shooting, actively use your tablet when they are not. Vallerret makes high quality gloves that are both soft and warm and with maximum comfort.

[Unisex S] I have warm hands. Nevertheless, I still prefer to wear a glove when temps are below 30F (-1c) as handling cold metal and carbon camera gear for a long time irritates my mild joint pain in my hands. I have been wearing a pair of shooting gloves in warmer temps, switching over to a pair of ski mittens with a finger tip flap for colder. Of course, neither were great for the in between temps, or when there was wind or rain/snow. Plus neither pair had a conductive pad for device use.
Enter the Urbex! I used them all last week shooting at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, in temps from 20F to 40F with winds and rain a few mornings and never once did I feel I needed more glove in the cold or get too hot as the temps crept up. The merino liners were soft and woolly but did not make my fingers feel like they were in sausage skins. The leather shell was flexible and grippy yet didn't feel flimsy. And the capacitive pads rocked. I was able navigate menus on my DSLR with ease.
My only complaint would be the fit. I usually wear a XX-Large in gloves, but this model doesn't come in that size. Other Vallerret gloves do. (Or maybe B and H just doesn't stock the XXL) The knuckles are a bit tight when I flex my fingers into a fist, but in general use it is not too restrictive. I still would prefer the XXL.
Great gloves are hard to find. Especially when you are looking for the 'middle' ground or the 'Goldilocks' point. For me, these are right on point.

[Unisex S] Wore these on a photo hike when the weather was clear but cold, between 45 and 50 degrees. The gloves kept my hands warm, and the fingertips stayed fastened back by the magnets making operating my camera sooo easy. The tips return to their original position easily as well. Don't know how they will be in freezing weather, but the day I used them I was very warm and happy with the gloves.
