[Aluminum] This works great and allows me to attach my microphone clip to the boom on my sturdy light stand. The sturdy set up means that the microphone stand will not fall on expensive instruments. 5

[5/8" Receiver] I own a small home studio and I'm in the process of completing acoustic treatment in the room. I decided to mount a distant ribbon mic high in the far corner of the room. To tame frequencies in that corner I built a 1' X 1' X 2 acoustic panel with 703 insulation, a wood frame and FR701 fabric. Rather than hang this panel I wanted to do a rigid mount from the ceiling. I had a number of Matthews MicroGrip arms and clamps but I needed two mounts: one for the ceiling and one for the back of the panel. The CAMVATE Mounts are a lifesaver! They allowed me to do the rigid mount that I envisioned. Of course you can't do pull ups on this, but the MicroGrip hardware allows me to angle and articulate the exact placement of the panel in a solid manner. 5

[5/8" Receiver] I use this for my C-Stand so I can use my mic for interviews. I don't really use it too much for lights, but it works well. I haven't had any issues with this product thus far. Great idea and great piece of kit! 5

[Aluminum] This is a great way to turn a really nice light stand into a perfect mic stand! I have a heavy and expensive microphone and don't always trust a lightweight mic stand for it. This allows me to use my Matthews light stand which is every bit as good as purchasing a heavyweight mic stand... maybe better! 5
