Expand functionality over your Pedalboard, Looperboard, or Gigboard with this HeadRush Expression Pedal. Built to be tough, durable, accurate, and expressive, this expression pedal has another trick up itself: a built-in momentary toe-switch for on/off effects.

Rock the pedal back and forth for your volume swells, wah wah moves, and pitch glissandos. Then, tap on the toe of the pedal to turn a completely different effect on or off. With multiple 1/4" outputs, you can route the expression pedal and the momentary toe-switch to different effects. The pedal is also adjustable: a 6mm hex key is provided so you can tune the pedal's action to your liking.

The military-grade aluminum die-cast housing is built to withstand the rigors of the road

The premium grip-tape surface grabs your foot and prevents slipping, and a custom linear 10-kilohm potentiometer in the pedal allows for accurate expression.

You can easily adjust the tension using a standard hex key wrench (included)

This isn't just an expression pedal, it's a momentary pedal as well. Simply push down on the toe portion of the pedal when it is in the toe-down position, to activate the toe-switch function.

You'll be able to connect to any HeadRush product equipped with an expression pedal input, but you can also route the built-in momentary toe switch to any HeadRush product equipped with a toe switch input. This means you can control two different effects from one pedal, if you want to.

[4.185 lb] I bought this to replace other non-digital compression and eq pedals. I was not interested in calling up many patches. I try to get a McCartney sound and along with nylon flats on a Hofner this allows me to dial it in. I use the Bassman preamp, para-eq's, graphic eq, dbx 160 and MXR stle compressors. I created 3 different patches, tic tac bass, plinky but full bass and deeper bass. I play with two acoustic guitarists in smaller rooms so I use a small Gallien Krueger amp or a Markbass 12 inch combo. My only complaint is that none of the compression settings have any visuals showing gain reduction so it's all up to my ears. Sound quality is great. I haven't spent much time trying out the other patches but their Markbass patch impressed me on how close it was to a Markbass amp.

[Universal] Sounds great. Compact (doesn't take up much desk space.). Easy to program. I use set-lists and scenes as a work-around for lack of snapshots. Compared to my Helix LT - much less expensive; much smaller and less heavy; BUT no snapshots; no programming with computer connection (HxEdit); takes a bit of effort to type on keyboard screen due to size. I like it.

[Universal] Everything about it is easy to use, people who complain that it doesn't have an external editor don't understand how easy it is to use, the screen is big enough, the effects sound pretty good, I've played live with people who use the quadcortex and the truth is that they sound the same

[Universal] Zoom knocks it out of the park with every product they make. I needed a volume pedal. This multieffects unit cost less than a volume pedal. Plus it gives me a looper, drum machine, and multieffects.

This pedal provides a studio quality effect unit for the price range. I don't play out live so I don't know what the noise level of this pedal is like under stage conditions. I also bought the Zoom MS-50G which is a higher quality pedal but not as fun. The MS1 has knobs and switches for effective realtime control.

It is very easy and faster to write and customize effects compared to the MS-50G. Both pedals are great.

[Universal] I honestly don't think there is a better option on the market, everything is perfect, the sound, the spects the price, THE SIZE!! , everything, The unit fits like a glove inside my gigbag and the pedal layering is so well and smart designed that you actually don't miss not having more buttons . It took me like 20 minutes or less to build my first patch and then the second day I made the whole rig setup for my live gigs, witch I took to a few days later. Everything was perfect, just some minor twiks here and there, but I felt that it's been with me for years. The MX5 will kill everything on the market in this price range, even higher. In fact because of the stereo FX send and the expression pedal, even the Gigboard is in danger. Well done Headrush, very well done.
