The enhanced Sigma 135mm T2 FF High-Speed Cine Prime PL Mountfrom Sigma 135mm T2 FF High-Speed Cine Prime PL Mountcombines the same high-quality optics and mechanics of its FF prime line with a cine-oriented design including Cooke/i Technology that provides lens metadata to assist in post and visual effects production. This 135mm prime with PL mount is a longer focal length in the series offering full-frame sensor coverage, 6 to 8K resolution, lens markings in feet, and a T2 maximum aperture in a compact, lightweight form.

A common 95mm front diameter and similar physical attributes across the lens line makes it easier and quicker to mount lens accessories such as matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens control motors. The 9-bladed iris produces pleasing out-of-focus bokeh effects and ghosting and flaring have been minimized. Color reproduction is standardized for easier color correction. Each lens in the range offers consistent lens gear positions and 180° of focus barrel rotation. The FF High-Speed Cine Prime lenses also feature a clickless iris with linear markings, dampeners on each gear ring for silent operation, and industry-standard 0.8 MOD gear pitch.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a case for the PL lenses?

A: The Sigma PMC-002 Hard Case for 5x FF High Speed Prime Cine Lenses can accommodate the PL version of the Sigma High Speed Prime Cine Lenses.

Q: 2. Does this case have wheels?

A: Yes the Sigma PMC-002 is a wheeled case. The case below is the same case without the custom Foam. Pelican 1650 Case with Foam (Black) BH #PE1650FB

Q: 3. Will this lens work with the Sony NEX 7?

A: Yes it will. The Sony NEX-7 is an E-Mount camera, this lens is compatible.

Q: 4. Can this 5 lens kit be configured with any choice of focal length? I.e. Could you get 14mm, 20mm, 50mm, 85mm and 135mm?

A: This is a manufacturer kit and thus no substitutions and no returns.

Q: 5. filter thread in specs states 'none' does this mean the lens is NOT treaded for a filter?

A: Some of these lenses in this kit will have a filter thread size and others will not. Like the 14mm & 20mm lens does not have a filter thread because the glass sticks out a bit due to it being a large wide angle lens. You will have to use a matte box and a filter with at particular lens. However, the other lens sizes like the 50mm lens will have a filter thread size of 82mm. The lenses will not all have the same filter thread size.

Q: 6. Is this lens parfocal?

A: Sigma does not state that the Sigma 18-35mm T2 High-Speed Zoom Lens (PL) is parfocal, but user tests have found that the lens is very close to perfectly parfocal, exhibiting a less than 0.1mm focal variation across the zoom range.

Q: 7. What lens mount is this set?

A: Thank you for your interest in Sigma products. This is a PL mount set.

Q: 8. The photos are not consistent; the first photo shows no adapter (extension) at the mounting plate. Which photo depicts the e-mount version?

A: The photos are of both the sony E mount and canon EF mount. It doesn't use an adapter since they are native lens mounts. Just make sure to choose the lens mount you need for your camera.

Q: 9. Does this lens have electronic contacts to communicate with the camera? Will it work with the focus assist feature of the Canon cinema cameras like the CN-E primes do? (Not autofocus, but the green box indicator)

A: These lenses have electronic contacts and will communicate. We are unable to test but it is our opinion that focusing aids will work.

Q: 10. Does the Sigma 28mm and 65mm fit this case as well?

A: The 65mm lens is about the same size as the 85mm an should work with the case. The 28mm would fit in one of the spaces reserved for the 20/24/35/50. The case was designed for the following kit of lenses. Sigma FF High-Speed 24, 35, 50, 85 & 135mm Prime Lens Bundle (EF Mount) BH #SICLK7EF

[ARRI PL] I compared many lenses in this range, and it came down to these and the Tokina Vistas. The Tokina's had a beautiful image, but for $6k a lens, I was sure if the value was there.

So I pulled the trigger on a set of these sigmas, and I couldn't be happier. It's the best value for the dollar. I've used their art photo line, but these seem to have a better resolution, they are crispier, and the bokeh falls off like butter. You won't find a better value for the price. The next level up is $6-7k, then $10k

[135mm] Beautiful shots and you can't beat the price.

[T2] I really love this lens. It just stays on the Ursa permanently. Many great directors use the 50mm as a standard (I'm thinking of Ozu), and I've personally always found the 50mm the most versatile focal length. And this lens is superb. I used the Rokinon lenses before this, which I appreciated, but this lens has more character. I really like the long throw, the build quality, and just the creamy look of this lens.

[Imperial] I have all 3 of the available PL mount versions of these lenses. I used on 2 proffesional shoots and WOW WOW WOW - I still cant get over the IQ for the price but with only 1 gripe---lets get out of way-- (no focus marks on AC side) not a big deal using FF on op side typically or remote FF if I have an AC so its not really an issue) If you are looking here you like consider the DZO Vespid line. TRUE they have a full set. However they have a very vintage look with oval bokeh and bad CA(on a few focal lengths) Those are smaller lighter and MARGNIALLY sharper true) however these lens have very little CA very little if any breathing depending on FL- propper full 330 rotation on focus, they are bigger but still small- However dont look SILLY on my RED like the Vespids do. I cant say this enough MEIKE hit a homerun here and I have ZERO regrets. Just wish the whole set was already available (24mm coming end of NOV 21) ---you cant go wrong here.

[T2] This is part of a kit i bought. This is probably my favorite lens of sigma cine line. Super sharp. Good color and contrast, as they all the cine line does. The numbers even glow in the dark if they are exposed to enough light. Nice little touch. Could not be happier with this lens.

[Yes] For the money, you cant go wrong. Solid build and great size. Image is just fantastic.

[Yes] I've used ROKINON lenses which were quite above average. The Sirui anamorphic lens was even better. I just finished my first feature using the Sirui. Now that I just used this Meike FF on my Bmpcc4k for my trailer.... I am just blown away by the depth of field, bokeh and color depth of this lens. The quality, the weight, the build quality is on par to a much more expensive cine lens. This is the range of a 5k plus cine lens. I'm planning on buying the other focal lengths as well

[82 mm] This lens is breathtaking. At T1.5 it gets a fantastic creamy look that is not achievable with the 85 or 135. I highly recommend.
