Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it reduce the power output of the AD200?

A: No power reduction with the AD200.

Q: 2. What would be the recommended clamps to use this on top of the light stand and mount the ad200 below?

A: For the body you can use a superclamp https://bhpho.to/30O84IU. For the head you can use a regular Bowens adapter https://bhpho.to/2EuSYhI.

Q: 3. Is it okay if I don't connect to ground?

A: The Godox AC Adapter for AD1200Pro should only be connected to a grounded outlet.

Q: 4. Will this EC200 work with the new AD200Pro?

A: Yes it is made to work with AD200 and AD200Pro

Q: 5. Does the ring center opening accommodate the Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E-mount? Based on the specs and photos, doesn't look like it will fit.

A: Yes it will.

Q: 6. How long is the extension?

A: The extension is 3.5m.

Q: 7. Does this item fit on the AD-B2, Dual Power Flash Bracket? I seems that there are two versions of EC200.

A: This accessory is only for extending the standard flash head for the Godox AD200. The AD-B2 works with the bare bulb flash tubes and attachment only.

Q: 8. While using this extension cable will I lose power? If so, how much? Thank you!

A: You will lose less than 5 % of power

Q: 9. Does the AC constantly charge the battery? The root of my question is if repeated flashes (like 15 or 20) even at 2 second intervals will eventually cause a bad flash. I do spin photography and have found that with moonlights, after 4 or 5 flashes the refresh time is much greater.

A: No. The following item is to be used for AC operation when shooting in a controlled environment. There would be no reason to use a rechargeable battery.

Q: 10. I've received the EC200 and AD200, yet cannot open the connection for use. How is it done?

A: There are two controls on the side: the button swivels the unit, while the slide-tab unlocks the head so it may be pulled open.First: slide the tab down to unlock the head; Then: slide the head forward such that it protrudes on the opposite side to the cold-shoe piece. (i.e. Don't pull it apart, ratrher push it forward.)

[2.06 lb] Get this light as soon as you can. So so so good.

Only complaint is the max flash sync is 1/200th.

[Proprietary] Charged the battery, turned it on, hit the HSS button, and I was instantly shooting at 1/4000th on my GFX 100. Get the Xpro F TTL transmitter.

[2.06 lb] I've only been using this light for about a month, so I can't comment on longivity. Out of the box it seems to have good build quality and a decent travel bag. I bought the AC adapter and use this as a studio/travel light, and it excels at both. I'm very pleased with the color and power output accuracy, I do macro photography requiring focus stacking so this is a must. Two things that I think could be improved; 1. The head's made of hard plastic, I have a 6'x4' soft box and if I position it vertically the light body will flex... makes me a bit uneasy. 2. Although it's nice the mount is made of metal, the mount doesn't sit flush on some studs.

[Proprietary] This is a well-made, ring flash that produces absolutely beautiful, well lit shots. The unit has a metal exterior and seems very well made and durable. its easy to position your camera lens dead center with the heavy duty, multi adjustable camera mount. I love to shoot with the Sigma 105 Art Lens and was hopeful it's massive 105mm lens would fit inside this ring. I'm happy to report, it fits perfectly with the lens hood removed. Check out the images to see for yourself. If you have the AD 1200 pro and want a awesome ring light, don't hesitate to pick this unit up. If you have neither, get both and thank me later!

[2.06 lb] So far I am loving this thing! Been shooting with Elinchrom RX Speed AS with Pocket Wizards for years. The Godox AD1200Pro is MUCH lighter, batteries charge faster, seeming just as reliable, High Speed Sync, and half the price. Will have to see how it holds up to the punishment I tend to put on gear out in the field. Now just waiting on the AC adapter to see if these start replacing my studio gear.

[Proprietary] This is a great piece of equipment.Refined, easy to operate. And powered by a industry respected battery.

Nothing worse the going on a shoot and having the electricity cut off in the middle of a shoot.Dependability insures my career.
