Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I fit 6 DZO Vespid PL mount lenses in the 6-lens Foam Insert?

A: The DZOFilm VESPID 6-Lens Kit A (PL & EF Mounts), B&H # DZVKAPLM, would be too large for the foam inserts. The alternative would be the DZOFilm 4-Lens Hard Case for VESPID Primes (B&H # DZOCASEV4). https://bhpho.to/3zLO0aL

Q: 2. Will Irix cinema lenses fit?

A: Yes, Irix Cine lenses will fit in the Nanuk 918 6-Lens Case with Foam Insert (Black).

Q: 3. Will this case fit a Sony A7Sii?

A: Hi, yes, this case can be used for an A7s II.

Q: 4. Will the Sony A1 fit in this case?

A: The Sony A1 is a bit larger than the A7R, so there is no guarantee that it will fit into the 920 Case.

Q: 5. Hi Does this case fit for the Samyang VDSLR Mark II (14mm 24mm 35mm 50mm & 80mm)??

A: While the manufacturer does not list the diameter of the lens cavity, it can easily hold a lens that is 3" or smaller in diameter. So those lenses lenses all should fit.

Q: 6. Would this fit a canon R5? I know it's designed for the Sony bodies but it would be great to know if anyone has fit a Canon mirrorless in here!

A: Unfortunately, I am not sure. The Nanuk 920 Case for Sony a7R Camera and Lid Foam (Black), B&H # NA920ESON1, includes pre-cut foam that is designed for use with the Sony Alpha a7R Mirrorless Digital Cameras (or cameras of similar dimensions). The Sony Alpha a7R Digital Camera's dimensions are 5 x 3.7 x 1.89" (127 x 94 x 48 mm). The Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Digital Camera's dimensions are 5.43 x 3.84 x 3.46" (138 x 98 x 88 mm). The Canon EOS R5 is slightly larger than the Sony Alpha a7R Digital Camera, so your results may vary. However, as the pre-cut insert is manufactured from foam, if you need more room from your camera, it may be possible to take a sharp blade such as an X-Acto Knife or a box cutter to expand the size of the foam to fit your camera.

Q: 7. Can anyone provide the dimensions for the lens cutouts? That would help people determine which of their lenses will fit.

A: Nanuk doesn't mention the dimensions for the lens cutouts but the case accommodates most lenses sizes: 8-15mm, 24-70mm, 24-105mm, 17-40mm, 17-55mm and 100mm.

Q: 8. Can this fir the Sirui Night Walker cine lenses?

A: Yes, the Nanuk 918 Hard Case with Foam Insert for Six Lenses (Black, 20.L) will fit the Sirui Night Walker Cine Lens series. The lens dimensions are 79mm wide, and 85.4mm tall. The lenses inserts on the pre cut foam that comes with the case are 103mm wide by 113mm long.

Q: 9. Would the Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 fit there? Its length is 8.5 inches, but I read that 24-105 f/4 would be the largest, which is much smaller ...

A: The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens would be just a bit too long to fit this case.

Q: 10. Can you fit a 16" MacBook Pro in that top pocket in the lid?

A: The top pocket on the lid of the Nanuk 918 Waterproof Carry-On Hard Case with Lid Organizer (Graphite) BH #NA9186007 is small for a 16" MacBook Pro.

[Yes] Seems to be working great at holding my cinema lens set. The latches have a positive action, general construction is solid and the cutouts are adequate. I can't find a reason to deduct a star.

[Latch] Great lightweight, convenient, and sturdy lens case. I really like how you can remove the inserts for different depths for each lens.

[Yes] This year I lost my home to flooding in Vermont. I am strictly an amateur but I have sold a few pieces in the past. When the flood waters hit I had very little time to get out. I lost everything on the first floor. My lenses had been stored in a large nylon bag. as I threw the bag around I was worried I would do damage to the Nikon lenses I had put together. Well the bag did protect the lenses and filters but I did loose some favorite work horses that I miss. This case will work very well for my travel work (I am a tour guide) . I can store the lenses in the compartment under the motor coach and not worry about them. The case is well constructed easy to carry and I got it on sale which made it an even better deal! Not only that but it is water proof and now that is so important to me. Can't wait to get on the road! Thank you B & H.

[Yes] Got this case to go with my new set of Rokinon Cine AF 4-Lens. Everything fits in perfectly and the lens feel very secure within the case. The case seems to be tough enough to handle just about anything. So I am pleased with this one.

[Handle] A smaller case with decent depth. I needed a case for my eyepieces and extenders so I defaulted to my standard, Nanuk. Sure, there is decent competition from the P people, but I prefer the lightness and sizing of Nanuk, without the loss of durability. I like the latching system as it doesn't require a second pounding or finger busting pop on opening. Better engineering, color choice, usability plus, this was substantially less expensive than the major competitor.

[Latch] I own quite a few of the Nanuk cases that range in size from smaller to larger. Everyone is different in how they want their case set up and if the foam cubes or the insert is better though I really like to customize my case pending on what camera gear I am storing in that specific case. For this case I made it custom to fit my 400mm F2.8 lens as the case that the lens comes with is fairly low quality with cheaper feeling clasps. The Nanuk case is legit - it has really nice locking clasps (x2) and it's great when I am traveling since it has wheels. The case itself is also REALLY light weight and comfortable to hold. I like how the handles also have rubber grips too - I know it is a small thing but I'm always on the go and it makes it way more comfortable to carry round to and from the car to my shoots locations. Cases are somewhat of a specific need - so do your measurements ahead of time to ensure you are getting the right one for your needs. I will be buying more Nanuk cases for sure as it's quite likely I'll be getting more camera gear... ha ha
