The cocoa Countryman E2 Unidirectional Earset Microphone Hirose 4-Pin ANfrom Countryman E2 Unidirectional Earset Microphone Hirose 4-Pin ANis an over-the-ear earset, similar to a classic E6 earset, but with a shorter boom designed to work with Audio-Technica wireless microphone systems. It provides suitable isolation at the mouth, but with less visibility than an E6 omni earset, and can be used to capture audio for general speaking and vocal applications.

With an equalizing circuit built into the audio connector, the frequency response is tuned so you can experience full-bodied bass and precise highs that are warm and natural. The element, boom, and sub-miniature connector are all easily hidden on the user's face. The boom position near the ear helps to eliminate breath pops and vocal plosives on the mic. The detachable cable terminates to a Hirose 4-pin AN cW-Style connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica 4000 Series, 5000 Series, or 7000 Series bodypack transmitter.

The E2 Earset redefines pure sound in a virtually invisible package. It offers better ease of use than a lavalier or podium microphone.

There are two aspects of the E2 design that make it possible to capture sound so far away from the mouth: strong off-axis rejection and precisely tuned frequency response. For on-axis interference, the frequency response tuning in the connector of the E2 allows you to fully capitalize on the proximity boosting effect of the mic to achieve even stronger isolation in the voice band.

Like the connector for the industry-standard E6, the connector for the E2 is built tougher and more water resistant than previous models.

Standard gain, for speaking and vocals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Canon r600 camcorder, does this mic require Phantom power or does it use batteries as i am unsure if the port allows for Phantom power.

A: This is a dynamic handheld mic that requires no phantom power.

Q: 2. I have a JVC GY-HM170UA camera and bought this microphone, but the camera does not recognize, all possible tests and still the same. Can anybody help me?

A: It would be difficult to determine what the issue may be. The mic requires phantom power to operate. This is provided by the camera when Input is set to the MIC+48V setting. This would be the most commonly overlooked. If you require assistance with your purchase, please feel free to email a Pro Video Representative here at provideo@bandh.com They will be best equipped to assist you.

Q: 3. how long is the cable?

A: Hi, the cable is 4.1 feet. Thank you for shopping at B&H!

Q: 4. Does the HS-U3BK headset mic use a battery, or require DC power?

A: The Galaxy Audio HS-U3BH Headset Microphone requires DC power of 1 to 10V in order to function.

Q: 5. How is this microphone powered? I'm thinking of a microphone that I can connect to a hand-held digital recorder so that I can capture the comments from a guide in the front of a bus when I'm sitting farther back in the bus in Israel during a two week trip, and I don't think that my recorder does 48 volts.

A: The AG-MC200G uses +48V phantom power and feature a standard XLR output. It cannot work with a device that does not supply + 48V phantom power.

Q: 6. Has anyone used these microphones for sound reinforcement in a small courtroom?

A: We have customers who have used these microphones in courtrooms and municipal meetings with great success..The microphone is designed to be placed flat on a conference table, features a unidirectional pickup pattern with a pickup area of +/- 45. The design is also impervious to noise caused by Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), so it can used with confidence around other wireless equipment, cell phones, Bluetooth devices, etc.

Q: 7. Will this work with E-M1 Mark II?

A: The MM-LAPEL-2 is compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II.

Q: 8. What do I need to connect these mics to a Zoom/MacMini teleconferencing system?

A: The Unidirectional Table Top Wireless Microphone from Revolabs is intended for use with Revolab's HD series wireless microphone and conference systems. The Revolabs Executive HD 4-Channel Wireless Conference Microphone System (No Mics) is an intuitive and easily installed 4-channel wireless microphone system for conferences, meetings and other group discussions. This system supports up to 4 Revolabs wearable, tabletop or plug-in microphone transmitters (not included) and features a 4-channel rack base and 4-bay charging station.

Q: 9. which cable length?

A: The cable length is less than 12 . Just enough for mounting on camera.

Q: 10. Is this mic also compatible with the Sony PXW-Z150 4K ?

A: Yes, it is a standard XLR connected mic, the model you mentioned has 2 XLR inputs. This will also work with any other equipment that has XLR, so it can be very useful for other equipment too.

[Hypercardioid] Rock solid, great for active videos like sports demonstrations/workshops that require a lot of movement. Sounds excellent as well, only quirk is that it is a little quiet and requires more gain than my other lavalieres but doesn't hiss.

[Plug-In Power] With a hearing on the left and a cochlear implant on the right and add glasses I can still wear comfortable the headset. The voice pick up is always the same. It works!

[Hypercardioid] an excellent headset--we used this to replace a Shure that came in a wireless mic set and it's got a little more sensitivity and range for sure. I find it a little less comfortable than some, but the sound is excellent. Good for talks and performances

[Hypercardioid] We had some feedback issues right out of the shoot, but this is a different mic than the E6 or any of the other countryman's. Once we got things equaled out we were in good shape and have much more consistent sound than ever before.

[Hypercardioid] We needed an easy to use and wear microphone for a judging panel. They need to be heard clearly while loud music plays during a 3 day dance competition. They give critiques for the studios and kids to work on for future performances. These uni worked perfectly. Thank you for a fantastic product and to BH for the recommendation. Will be using many more in the future.

[Hypercardioid] This is exactly what was needed. Is a replacement product for our system and it was easy to reintegrate. Works perfectly. Very happy.

[Hypercardioid] I bought this mic to replace one just like it that I had for nearly 15 years! The old one developed an intermittent problem hence the replacement. The newer one was shipped promptly and as far as I can tell is just like the older one...so if I get 15 years of service, what more can one ask for.

[Hypercardioid] I teach aerobics and use this mic in class. The last one I had lasted 8 years and would have lasted longer had it not been accidentally left on a cabinet and a heavy object thrown on top of it. grrr I am hoping this new one lasts as long or longer. I have tried other headsets and nothing sounds as good and is as comfortable as the countryman. You will get cracking sounds from moisture (hey, it's Jazzercise and heck yes I SWEAT!), but I have found that working to position the mic down and away from you mouth and cheeks help. This mic will pick up the sound just fine and it does not need to be right up against you mouth to do so. Yes it is more expensive than other aerobic mic alternatives, but it will last at least twice as long and sound so much better.
