The Slik 6014 Quick Release Plate for Camerasis a metal plate with durable cork padding for the EZ Pod, EZ Pod Jr., and Sprint video tripods. A: The VHS pin in the Gitzo Quick Release Plate for Sony Alpha Cameras is an anti-twist pin to prevent certain cameras with this location pin drop from twisting. Certain Sony telephoto lenses also provide the same drop in hole for the VHS pin; in case the anti- twist flange cannot meet the edge of the foot on the lens.

A: The plate screws on to the camera. You will need a coin or screwdriver to remove it.

A: Unfortunately this head will not fit on the U212. The base threading on the head is 1/4-20" and the stud coming out of the tripod is 3/8".

Q: 7. Is this Slik PBH-52LP Ball Head compatible with all tripods or just peculiar to Slik tripods?

A: The Slik PBH-52LP Ball Head has a standard 3/8"-16 female-threaded tripod socket on the base of the tripod head. As such, it should be able to connect to any brand/model tripod that has a standard 3/8"-16 male-threaded tripod screw on its center column or flat plate.

Q: 8. What are the dimensions at the base of the plate? I need a replacement for an early Slik monopod (don't know the model). The dovetailed dimension (front to back) for the plate I need is about 42 mm, the width (vertical sided) is about 35 mm. Thanks.

A: The Slik Quick Release Plate 6014 (618-737) is the replacement 1/4 20″ thread QR plate for the 511 QF, EZ-Pod Jr, and Video Sprint II. It is also compatible with EZ pod Jr. monopod, EZ Pod monopod, 511 QF, Video Sprint II Tripod and the Video Sprint Tripod models.

Q: 9. Does this come with the 1/4-inch screw needed to attach the adapter base to the baseplate of a shoulder rig, etc?

A: The screw shown attaches to the camera. Product assumes there is a screw on tripod / monopod that attaches to the base of the adapter.

Q: 10. Does it fit Slik U9000 ?

A: Yes, the Slik SBH-100 DQ Compact Ballhead 100 with Quick Release, will fit on top of the "center column" of the Slik U9000 on the 3/8th" male connector.

[Proprietary] One of the major design flaws (in my opinion) of the X-T20 is the placement of the tripod plate mount being so incredibly close to the battery door. This makes access to your battery compartment (which also houses the memory card, btw) very difficult with practically any other tripod plate mounted to it (first world problems, #amiright ?) This plate solves all of my problems, with the added bonus of shifting the mount directly under the lens (for those OCD peoples out there). Well designed, and solidly built, the "lips" on either side of the "camera facing" portion of the mount cradle the camera perfectly, eliminating "off center" attachment (shoutout #2 for the OCDer's). In all seriousness, great mount for any X-T20 users who frequently use tripods (and prefer a tripod mount constantly fixed to the camera). 5

[Aluminum] This plate is so helpful for the Sony cameras. It has a small lip on it to prevent the camera from drifting when in the vertical position on the tripod. This is a must for Sony cameras. Bought two ( one for each camera 5

[Proprietary] I didn't think I'd ever find a plate for my D5500 that won't twist. This works great and doesn't get in the way of the articulating LCD at all. It was good to find this for a camera that isn't going to get the attention of the big Arca-Swiss plate makers. I'm hoping this is also generic enough to fit other small cameras since the lip on the back is just enough to keep it from twisting. 5
