The 24" x 100' Photo Luster 290 Inkjet Roll Paper from Hahnemuhle is a 290 gsm bright white luster paper. The roll features a microporous resin coating and a 96% opacity rating. The paper yields prints with consistent flatness and is compatible with both pigment and dye-based ink.

Q: 1. How accurate is the white and is there a color shift regardless of printer?

A: The Photo Luster 290 Inkjet is 110% white and the image will fade over time, unless using a glaze that rejects UV light.

A: Yes. It says Epson Professional Paper and EPSON in a diagonal pattern in a very light grey.

Q: 3. Does Kodak provide an ICC profile for other brand printers? I'm currently using Canon Pro 2000.

A: We use Epson printers and use their profile for the epson luster with the Kodak media. This works beautifully.

Q: 4. will this paper work on normal inkjet printers? or is it more for a dry lab type printer?

A: I have only used this paper on the Epson 4880. Luster setting etc.. Define normal?

Q: 5. Is this paper acid free - archival?

A: It is not stated by Epson as acid-free.

Q: 6. How many 8x10's will this print?

A: In an ideal world with no waste at all, 10 ft is 1200 in, 1200/8 would translate into 150 prints. In reality it depends on your printer and the waste introduced before and after each print.For example I print 3 - 8x10 in a row, and my 4880 Epson printer leaves 0.75 inches on each end.So for every 3 8x10s I print, I use 25.5 inches. so 1200 in/25.5, is 47 prints with 3 8x10, in total that would be 141 8x10.And of course this is if you don't have to use some paper to clean you printer head.I hope this helps.

Q: 7. What is the outside diameter of each of these rolls? I want to know if it is compatible with my SureLab D870. Thank you very much for the help

A: The Epson SureLab Luster Photo Inkjet Paper (6" x 213' Roll) is fully compatible with the Epson SureLab D870 Professional Minilab Printer.

Q: 8. Has anyone tried printing this 10" wide paper on a P800. Epson Manual indicates a13" - 17" range. Looking at it, I don't know why it could not do a 10" wide?

A: This is a 24 wide roll. So no.

[Luster] Got a roll of this on the advice of a faculty member at another college. I got it for my personal work but we quickly adopted it for the lab. Good feel and handling, great color hold-out, doesn't have the plastic-y vibe of its competitors. It's not the cheapest, but it is a great value. 5

[Luster] We buy a fair amount of paper for our photo program. But this has become a favorite after being given a recommendation from another colleges photo program. Nice feel, good luster It's on the cheaper end of the Hahnemuhle lineup but it still feels gallery/luxury. Prints are great, good color holdout, nice and bright. 5

[110%] Bought this for our college photo lab as an experiment. Very happy with the results. Hard to quantify exactly how it's working but it seems to have better ink holdout than our previous standard rc papers. Images feel richer, like we added bit depth and didn't just change a paper roll. 5

[290 gsm] We print a lot at my institution. This is a bit spendy, but it is worth it in clean colors, easy unrolling, a good hand, a surface finish that has good color holdout without being too glossy. Tested about 7 papers a while ago costing up to 2x as much and this was the one we kept coming back to. 5
