The light beige Countryman E2 Unidirectional Earset Microphone, Detachable Cable, 3.5mmfrom Countryman E2 Unidirectional Earset Microphone, Detachable Cable, 3.5mmis an over-the-ear earset, similar to a classic E6 earset, but with a shorter boom designed to work with Senal wireless microphone systems. It provides suitable isolation at the mouth, but with less visibility than an E6 omni earset, and can be used to capture audio for general speaking and vocal applications.

With an equalizing circuit built into the audio connector, the frequency response is tuned so you can experience full-bodied bass and precise highs that are warm and natural. The element, boom, and sub-miniature connector are all easily hidden on the user's face. The boom position near the ear helps to eliminate breath pops and vocal plosives on the mic. The detachable cable terminates to a 3.5mm connector for direct connection to a Senal Series bodypack transmitter (sold separately).

The E2 Earset redefines pure sound in a virtually invisible package. It offers better ease of use than a lavalier or podium microphone.

There are two aspects of the E2 design that make it possible to capture sound so far away from the mouth: strong off-axis rejection and precisely tuned frequency response. For on-axis interference, the frequency response tuning in the connector of the E2 allows you to fully capitalize on the proximity boosting effect of the mic to achieve even stronger isolation in the voice band.

Like the connector for the industry-standard E6, the connector for the E2 is built tougher and more water resistant than previous models.

Standard gain, for speaking and vocals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does this differ from my mic150 shotgun mic?

A: The Panasonic MIC150 has a frequency response of 80 Hz to 16 kHz whereas the Panasonic AG-MC200G has a frequency response of 160 Hz to 20 Hz.

Q: 2. I have a JVC GY-HM170UA camera and bought this microphone, but the camera does not recognize, all possible tests and still the same. Can anybody help me?

A: The Panasonic AG-MC200G requires 48 volts phantom power to operate. The camera must be set to the MIC+48 setting to power the mic correctly. Q: 3. I have a JVC GY-HM170UA camera and bought this microphone, but the camera does not recognize, all possible tests and still the same. Can anybody help me?

A: It would be difficult to determine what the issue may be. The mic requires phantom power to operate. This is provided by the camera when Input is set to the MIC+48V setting. This would be the most commonly overlooked. If you require assistance with your purchase, please feel free to email a Pro Video Representative here at provideo@bandh.com They will be best equipped to assist you.

Q: 4. How is this microphone powered? I'm thinking of a microphone that I can connect to a hand-held digital recorder so that I can capture the comments from a guide in the front of a bus when I'm sitting farther back in the bus in Israel during a two week trip, and I don't think that my recorder does 48 volts.

A: The AG-MC200G uses +48V phantom power and feature a standard XLR output. It cannot work with a device that does not supply + 48V phantom power.

Q: 5. What adapter or cable would I need to plug this into a 3.5mm (mini) recording device / PC?

A: You can use a 3.5mm TRS to 1/4" TS adapter such as the C2G 3.5mm Stereo Male To 6.3mm Mono Female Adapter (B&H #CA40635) or Hosa Technology 1/4" TS Female to 3.5mm TRS Male Adapter (B&H #HOASMMPFQ).

Q: 6. Do I need phantom power or a audio mixer for this mic?

A: This is a dynamic microphone and by design requires no phantom or external power.

Q: 7. Is this mic also compatible with the Sony PXW-Z150 4K ?

A: Yes, it is a standard XLR connected mic, the model you mentioned has 2 XLR inputs. This will also work with any other equipment that has XLR, so it can be very useful for other equipment too.

Q: 8. what kind of devices can I plug my atr-1100 microphone into?

[Hypercardioid] We had some feedback issues right out of the shoot, but this is a different mic than the E6 or any of the other countryman's. Once we got things equaled out we were in good shape and have much more consistent sound than ever before.

[Light Beige] Going from a Shure WL93 to a Countryman E6 is like going from a Ford Pinto to a Audi A8. The Sound is fantastic. We work in an incredibly reflective, medium sized hall, and feedback is no longer an issue. The only issue that I've personally encountered is that we are still using Shure ULX wireless transmitters/recievers, and even with the gain on both maximized, it's still not quite enough. Having to then add gain on the board adds some unwanted background noise; however, I don't blame the mics for this issue, but instead our wireless system. Overall, Great mics.

[Hypercardioid] This is exactly what was needed. Is a replacement product for our system and it was easy to reintegrate. Works perfectly. Very happy.

[Light Beige] The E6 is my earset of choice, since the quality of sound and comfort are priority for me and my presenters. NOTE: Since the earset is not part of B&H stock, the mics are drop-shipped directly from Countryman. I needed the mic within a week so I paid for 2-day shipping, since I was concerned when Countryman would process and ship the order. I was amazed to find out that they processed the order on the same day I placed it with B&H, and the mic arrived before the B&H order! Many thanks.

[Hypercardioid] I use these in a performing arts center with a Sennheiser wireless system. They work so much better than lavaliere mics, due to their closer proximity to the mouth. Hardly any EQ is needed to get them sounding loud and present. Their tiny size truly makes them nearly invisible on stage. I have used these for years and keep buying them, despite other options that have cropped up in the last few years, Countryman has given me no reason to switch.

[Hypercardioid] This is one great sounding mic. I sing with another musician. During rehearsal last night, he put it on and played into the night. He just called me and ordered his. Wow

[Hypercardioid] Use them for recording many events and amplification for live events. Only lament is that they are a bit fragile.
