The QL-3560 Daylight LED Octagonal Softbox Kitfrom QL-3560 Daylight LED Octagonal Softbox Kitis a lightweight, versatile source with light intensity and power options, backed by advanced color accuracy. The QL-3560 has a medium flood beam angle of 45 degrees that provides adequate coverage while still having enough punch for long-throw work. The output can be further controlled by swinging one or more leaves of the four-way barndoors into the beam path to facilitate selective lighting. Impact uses TIR (Total Internal Reflector) LEDs in a 45-degree configuration that projects the light forward without the peripheral spill light generated by SMD LEDs, giving them enough punch for long-throw work.

The QL-3560 has a daylight-balanced color temperature of 5600K, making it ideal for outdoor shooting, working in spaces dominated by windows, or matching other daylight-balanced fixtures. Outputting an impressive 11,500 lux at 3', the light also has a high CRI rating of 97, indicating superior color accuracy.

[50,000 Hours] Bought these to replace bulky softboxes we used to light pre-recorded church services in a small chapel. Now that we're live streaming, we needed something that could kick out more light and be less obstructive. These have fit the bill. We have them maybe 15 feet from the altar. They throw enough light for the Mevo, and the barn doors have helped us focus light just on the altar and pulpit. The light stands feel solid. I'm still astounded by the price. Glad they do have a dimmer nob and diffuser filter. 5

[Yes] Pros: Great price for 2 lights and light stands (considerably one of the best deals on B&H) No fan, so no noise when filming on full power for extended times. Very little heat compared to COB LEDs. Decent build quality considering the back end of the light is made of plastic. Simple to use and adjustable to what you need them for (with adapters) Accurate colors Cons: Not as bright as advertised at 3' is closer to 9,000 not 11,500. Suffers from classic LED shadow effect when using barndoors. Having to purchase separate adapters to use batteries or soft boxes. Overall this is great beginners light kit who wants bright lights and the ability to convert them to your needs. My only gripe is they could've made the optional battery converter apart of the entire light set up instead of making it seem like an afterthought. 5

[Yes] I'm a Filmmaker and Photographer and sometimes I make a lot of works alone these lights set is perfect because is lightweight and excellent quality, obviously perfect for Portraits Photography as well (I have taken photos in schools and them works very well) Soy Videografo y Fotografo y este set de luces es de excelente calidad. [CRI 97] I jumped at these when I saw the price. I have not been disappointed. I oversee the live stream at a little historic chapel which is quite dark most Pittsburgh days. These lights are compact enough that the parishioners have adjusted to having them up and bright enough to light up the front of the church for Sunday services. The barn doors have helped control the light a bit. The dimmer switch comes in handy when we film at night and full-power is too much. The light stands are stable (though I have sand bagged them, to be safe). I will buy another set for my personal light kit. Should work great to light up a green-screen backdrop for another project. 5

[Passive] I bought 60 of these, with stands, to use as part of a Gear box we assembled for our Photo students during the Covid Isolation. These were used by unskilled shooters at home over 4 semesters. We conducted small set photo synchronously via Zoom on 36 wide seamless sweeps. ISO100 1/125 f5.6-f8...all day. I intermittent failure. 2 stripped barn door retaining screw. Used diffusion to reduce multi-shadows. Barn doors offer great control.Rarely use the Tungsten filter except to teach color balance. Color is faithful and consistent from unit to unit. Upon return to face-to-face classes we continued numerous sessions on the small sets. Added 16 soft boxes, snoots of black foil, and colored gels. A solid tool. Also ganging these up on baby triples behind 6x6 silks on butterflies. Major sets with multiple lights. As with most gear it works within its limits. If you need more power and utility buy more and don't whine about this unit. Bang-for-buck it is hard to beat. The Impact stands, though, fail at the cinch collar at about a 10-15% rate. 5

[Daylight] I would buy this softbox again. Setup is very fast with the umbrella frame that is attached. You only need to tighten a thumb screw. The light is nice and soft and wraps around the subject. I have 2 other Norman softboxes and this has taken over as the main portrait light source. 5
