Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.
The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.
The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.
Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.
Standard, for most uses.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Can i use this as well as my rode mic on the hot shoe?
A: That would depend on which Rode microphone you have, and what you are truly asking in the question. If you were asking if you can plug a Rode microphone into the transmitter: Yes, If you have a Rode lavalier, or even a shotgun microphone that terminates 3.5mm it work with the transmitter. You're asking if you can use your Rode microphone and the Blink 500 system into your camera simultaneously: You will need some kind of mixer, such as the Saramonic SR-PAX1, or the SR-AX100. But keep in mind the SR-AX100 is only for battery powered microphones, it has no pre-amplification. If you want pre-amplification, the Saramonic SR-PAX1 is a much better bet. I hope that helps.
Q: 2. Are there any advantages or disadvantages of using the UC90 version? Is it true that a license is required to use this band.
A: No license is required to use any version of the Sony UWP-D27 within the USA. There is no objective benefit to any frequency block over another, as the frequencies used has no direct effect on audio quality. The only case in which you would prefer one frequency block over another would be if 1. there is radio activity/interference within one band in your area, or 2. if you need to ensure compatibility between this and another Sony wireless device.
Q: 3. when you mute the transmitter does it give indication on the transmitter that it is muted or not muted?
A: Yes, there is a mute indicator on the LCD screen of the UWM-2 transmitter.
Q: 4. can you use outdoors using only cell data on iphone, and live on zoom?
A: The wireless receiver is powered by the iPhone and sends audio to the phone through its Lightning port, but the wireless receiver does not use the phone's data for any of its functions.
Q: 5. What is the difference from the EW 512P to the EW 100? - In other words, why is there such a price difference?
A: The ew 512P system has a wide 88 MHz bandwidth with 3520 frequencies and an adjustable RF output level of 10, 30 or 50 mW. Depending on your location, you can operate up to 32 wireless systems simultaneously. The ew 100 has a 42 MHz bandwidth with 1680 frequencies and a fixed RF output level of 30 mW. You can use up to 12 ew 100 systems at the same time depending on the environment. The ew 512P includes the MKE 2 lavalier which is a more professional mic than the ME 2-II (or ME 4) which is included with the ew 100 system. Additionally, the ew 512P has a headphone jack on the receiver but the ew 100 does not have a headphone jack. The ew 100 system also includes a plug-on transmitter (SKP 100) for use with dynamic mics and mics that do not require phantom power. If you do want to add on a similar plug-on transmitter for the ew 512 or use the ew 500 system, the SKP 500 does supply +48V phantom power.
Q: 6. Can the iPhone charge while using this?
A: No, the iPhone cannot charge while using the Movo Photo EDGE-DI-DUO 2-Person Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for iPhones.
Q: 7. hi i live in the caribbean on the island of St Vincent and the Grenadines , what frequency range should i get ?
A: The versions of the Sony UWP-D27 which we carry are only guaranteed to work within the USA. Unfortunately we cannot advise on compatibility of radio equipment in other countries, as every area will have its own laws & regulations regarding which UHF frequencies can and cannot be used.
Q: 8. How many ampere should be rated the USB type A charger to charge quickly a Blink 500 TX?
A: 2.1 A will get it done.
Q: 9. What frequencies recommend for Canada?
A: The UC14: 470 to 542 MHz and UC25: 536 to 608 MHz frequency ranges of the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System are both good options for use in Canada. Each range's viability and number of open channels can vary based on the specific location they are used in.
Q: 10. If I already own a UC14 receiver with two transmitters, should I get another set for UC14 or should I get a different frequency band?
A: I would base the decision of whether to get another Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System on the same frequency range on how well your current system works. If you find frequencies are always readily available, and the range works well in your area, it may be sensible to get another system on the same range. The UWP-D27 has 2,772 potential frequencies, so adding two for a total of four would not necessarily be detrimental. On the other hand, another frequency range adds versatility if the existing system sometimes struggles to find open channels.
