[10°] Even though the price is a bit hot, you get what you pay for.. and the ability to adopt other gels to this kit is a winner.

[0.305 lb] I really like the new design of the new OCF II grid and gel holder. The magnetic design make it very quick to change the gels and grids.

[0.305 lb] This system is convenient, fast and is well constructed. The magnetic rings snap satisfyingly into place.

[0.305 lb] This not only directs the light, it softens it substantially. It works almost as well as my soft box, but is infinitely easier to use. I use pro foto's magnetic light modifiers on my Fiilex lights because they fit perfectly and they make everything much easier to use and carry. There's a couple of other grids as well, but I like this one best for directing and softening the light.

[0.305 lb] I have the plastic system as well and I can't tell you how much better this system is. I still use the plastic one as a secondary or backup. But I'd always rather use these. Note that these can't be used with the D1 series though because there are no fans for cooling.

[10°] Magnets are plenty strong and make these easy to work with.

[0.305 lb] When Canon came out with the original 600 EX-RT, one of this I really enjoyed using was the custom gel holder. I made so many custom gels. So when moving to a different lighting system, one of the main contributing factors was in how I could work with gels.

I absolutely love this piece of gear! Very easy to mount (I'm using B10X Plus units) and it's incredibly quick to change out gels and/or grids.

I've already picked up their separate gel holder so I can make my own.

Also picked up the other two degrees of grids for more configuration options.

Using this in conjunction with other modifiers is awesome. e.g. the snoot attaches directly to this unit and fits even with three stacked items. Though using a grid is going to be fairly useless with a snoot (since it's at the snoot's back and not front), and can't image a scenario where I'd need three gels all stacked.

When using with OCF softboxes, it's quite easy to open up one of the rear flaps (with velcro), reach in, and add, remove or swap out the gels.

All in all, a very solid design. Not limiting at all since you can use other modifiers along with it. And definitely not limiting since you can stack many items together.

This is the one item that I'll get for each of my B10 series units.
