Q: 1. Does the grid holder fit the original grids?

A: The OCF ll Grids are secured in the Grid and Gel Holder by magnets. The original OCF Grids are not magnetic, and therefore may no fit securely.

Q: 2. Aren't D1/D2 the "OCF" too? They seem have the same body as Bx has. Unfortunately there aren't the same accessories marked as "suitable for Dx". Marks are either "for Bx" or "for all OCF monolights". Just want to know which holder and gel kits to buy for my D2 monolights.

A: For your D-2 you don't use any OCF accessories at all as it's unsafe. The modelling lamp will burn up these accessories in no time and it's a real life fire hazard.

Q: 3. Can you attach this gel kit in addition to a softbox on a B1X?

A: yes you can

Q: 4. Will these gels & grid fit in the zoom reflector 2

A: These do not fit into a reflector they are designed for the B10, B10 Plus, and the B1X and they mount right on the light with the included holder. They are not meant to be used with a reflector. To narrow the beam you would use them with grids for the ocf system like the included grid in the kit.

Q: 5. would it fit the Profoto B1?

A: Yes, The following unit is designed for the B10, B10 Plus, and the B1X.

Q: 6. I've heard that Profoto modifiers fit the Fiilex P360. Is it true?

A: Not really. The following light shaping tools will fit on the Fiilex P360 but will not be a true fit to the item as the following light shaping tools are made and propriety to profoto system.

Q: 7. So will the gels I have from the 1st version of the grid/gel kit work with this?

A: The first and second generation gels should be compatible.

Q: 8. Does this set include a 'gel ring' which allows you to cut out and add other gels or do you need to buy that separately?

A: This unit is for Profoto gels only and does not have a generic gel ring.

Q: 9. Do these work with D1 system as well?

A: No, only for the OCF System

[Magnetic] Even though the price is a bit hot, you get what you pay for.. and the ability to adopt other gels to this kit is a winner. 5

[0.53 lb] If you want to use profoto magnetic grids or filters on your Fiilex P360 portable lights, you need this holder. Super easy to use, fits perfectly, and makes all other profoto's magnetic accessories work on your light kit. Very nice. 5

[0.53 lb] If you use profoto grids or gels you have to have this. I use both on Fiilex P360S light kit. This makes it possible. It fits perfectly, and the grids and gels snap on with magnets. I love the entire profoto line up cause they fit the P360S lights perfectly. 5

[Magnetic] I have the plastic system as well and I can't tell you how much better this system is. I still use the plastic one as a secondary or backup. But I'd always rather use these. Note that these can't be used with the D1 series though because there are no fans for cooling. 5
