[1] I bought this along with two additional batteries and it works like a charm! I also use it as a quick check for the remaining charge since it doesn't require external power to do so. It gives a handy percentage remaining figure which is more than my camera can do at a glance. I haven't tried using it to charge a device using camera batteries yet nor have I really stress tested it to ensure it doesn't over charge batteries. However, it seems to be operating well so far. 5

[1] I had to play with the camera a long time to wear down this battery! I did notice it showed FULL power for a long time, then went to recharge very quickly. Any camera using a battery this small should carry the spare on every shoot. 5
