[0.275 lb] I'm glad I bought this since the battery that comes with the Panasonic HC-WFX1 is smaller and has less useable time. This battery is good for about 3 hours depending on what is being shot. It charges quickly. Good buy.

[Lithium-Ion] I charged it once but never got to use it before I returned the camcorder. Now I have an extra and charger.
You may want to make sure the Panasonic camcorder works before you buy an extra battery.

[0.275 lb] I bought a Panasonic VX981 and the included battery was simply not enough for my needs. This Watson battery has nearly double the battery life and is perfect for 2 hour long shoots or long trips with lots of recording.

- Can be charged on the camera or on a separate AC-powered charger (charge one battery while you use the other, e.g.).
- Charging time is on the order of hours, so charge up well before you need to go to your video shoot.


At first I got one of these batteries to give my camera more stamina for long video sessions (moonrises, baseball games, etc.), and it's made the difference between running out of power in mid-shot and having more than enough for most days in the field. I usually get more than four hours of video using this battery with the Panasonic HC-W580k, maybe more, any time I've used it (less in very cold weather, of course: one of the photos attached here shows the camcorder midway through a very cold winter video shoot).


The two that I've bought are still going strong after many charge-and-discharge cycles. When I get another Panasonic camcorder to back up one I've been using for six years, I'll buy another of these batteries.


If you need to have your camcorder out all day, you need one of these batteries. I think you'll be very happy with the results.
