Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can it operates with one battery or needs two?

A: The instructions included with the Yongnuo YN608W LED Video Ring Light (5500K) state that if you put one battery into the battery slot, only 304 LEDs will light up, but the relevant functions will work normally. If you use both batteries in both battery slots, then all 608 LEDs will light up. As such, you would only have half of the available light output if you choose to use one battery with the light fixture.

Q: 2. Is the light output adjustable, say if I wanted to have the brightness only at 10% or 80%? Or is it fixed at low, medium, high, or just one level?

A: Yes, the Yongnuo YN360 II LED Light Wand (5500K), B&H # YOYN360IIW, does offer dimming. While Yongnuo does not list the dimming percentage, they do state that the fixture has an encoder digital dimming mode with coarse and fine adjusting mode, and can be dimmed accurately and reliably.

Q: 3. I see a power pack and See a slot for a battery. There's nothing about what comes in the box. Does a battery come in the box or not? Which is the right battery and charger if not?

A: Typically, battery operation of LED lighting is optional and the batteries aren't provided. You're looking for a Sony NP-F style battery (of which there are three different sizes) and charger, like this kit: https://bhpho.to/3n7lgTn

Q: 4. Can you use Sony NP-F970 batteries with this light or do you need NP-F975 and NP-F770 specifically?

A: You can certainly use NPF970 batteries.

Q: 5. Can the unit charge the battery when the ac power is connected?

A: Unfortunately, this unit cannot charge the batteries when the AC adapter is connected to it.

Q: 6. Does rechargeable batteries work in this?

A: Yes. It takes Sony Np-f -style rechargeable batteries. I say style because I'm using generic Np-f batteries that work perfectly.

Q: 7. Could it be possible to use this ON CAMERA? If so, what EXACT converter piece would i need to put in on my DSLR camera?

A: With a mount like this you could put it on a camera https://bhpho.to/2sLlWTP. You would need to use your judgement to whether your camera can hold the weight via its shoe and not be damaged.

Q: 8. What AC power adapter must be used? Must there be two of them for both sides?

A: Yes, you would need two AC power adapters to use both sides of the Yongnuo YN508 Bi-Color LED Ring Light. It requires a 12V, 2A Output AC power adapter. We offer as a solution the Fujia Appliance 12V AC Power Supply. BH # FUACADPTR12V.

Q: 9. What type of battery does the remote need?

A: The following unit adapts to all Np-F style batteries. Please review the following unit. Watson NP-F770 Battery Kit with Compact AC/DC Charger BH #WANPF770CK • MFR #C-4203BKI https://bhpho.to/3zJhatq

Q: 10. Hi. Your In the box info does not mention batteries. Does it come with a battery?

A: Yes it does ,,, one battery

[Passive] The headline says it all! I'm beyond happy with this product. This is my second Yongnuo LED light and both have left me extremely happy so far. Haven't tested them in the field yet, but I did at home. This one is so bright you can barely look into it. It lights my entire bedroom very well. The quality, although made of plastics, seems very adequate too. I run two generic Sony batteries on it and it lasts for a long time. Everyone I showed this to were also very impressed. I would honestly pay 3x the price for this unit. I think you should buy this if you need a quality ring light. (And yes, this is my personal, honest review. No one asked me to review it). I'm honored to be the first review on here! Shocked no one else has said anything about this.

[Daylight] For what it's create for, it works fine. It's a little non-responsive and the directions (after translation) are a little buggy but once you get used to it, it's fine. Price is better than the name brand too !

[5500K] Performs beautifully in native 5500 mode, producing very clean, soft light. The RGB mode is equally pleasing, providing a multitude colors for backgrounds and for offbeat, mood-evoking light. 5500 mode is very bright at full power; RGB light is considerably less bright. For less than $130, you can buy 3 of these babies for the cost of just one of the Westcott lights, making the YN360 II a must-have (unless one is a "brand-chump" who sneers at the "cheapo" brand equipment). The YN360 II is bulky without being ponderous; holding it for extended times should be no trouble for your assistants. A screw mount makes attaching the light to a light stand easy. If all this isn't enough, Yongnuo provides a free app for iPhone (and I think for Android as well) enables complete, hands-free control of the YN360 II both in 5500 mode and in RGB mode. I can imagine that treated with appropriate TLC, this fine light should last for years. Recharging the light is easy and fast, using the provided charging cable.

Yongnuo hit it out of the park with the YN360 II. This is an easy 5 star recommendation, for fine performance, for features unavailable in the Westcott light, all at a price within reach of any photographer.

[Daylight] Its ability to modify the color temperature from 3,200k to 5,500k is very practical and efficient, I just have to pack this set of LED lights in indoor or outdoor work.

I highly recommended this LED light. Five stars

[Passive] All what i used to have is just a warm, cool light. This is literally a game changer for me photography, videography. I was about to purchase the “Colorspike” but it costs $450, to get two i have to pay literally $900 plus international shipping will be more than $1000. To moneywise, I decided to purchases two of these since they cost by far less. And I am not regretting this at all, i thought one light can do the job But honestly two is a minimum. I still plan to purchase the colorspike, but just one. So i will have two of these plus the colorspike that would be all i need.

Anyway this is so helpful you should get it

[Daylight] I've used Icelights, so that's what I am comparing this to. Build quality is what I expected from this light. It feels like it might break if I dropped it more than 2-3 times, not as durable feeling as the Icelight. The light also is completely white, which kinda makes it look goofy or like a toy. If you can get over that, this light is awesome! I took it apart and put two layers of parchment paper over the diffusion insert to give it a softer look since the light if very directional and center heavy. I wouldn't recommend you do this as it's hard to get it back together again.

The over-all performance is great, it's not too hard to use one handed while you are filming with a gimbal rig. The phone app is really handy too if you want to hide the light behind a plant or object to create a wall texture. Color looks great and I like that it has an internal battery with power indicator so you know how much of a charge you have.

[25 W ] Good for 3 purposes: 1) Extra fill light for an on-location interview if you bring a light stand 2) hair light for a more formal interview or 3) background accents for interviews or portraits - just put it in RBG mode and hide it behind your subject

[5500K] This thing is amazing to do close portraits. I bought them last month and brought it with me to Brazil, all the people Ive been shooting using the neon effect that this product does are so amazed by it. You should definetly get two in order to mix colors. Its really awesome.
