A: We reached out to Thingfy for clarification, and it is a 52mm filter thread.

Q: 2. Will this work on a canon 5D mark III?

A: Yes, this lens is compatible with the 5D Mark III.

Q: 3. Pin hole 100 - 800 micron. Good. What is the thickness of the foil with the pin hole? The thicker the more fuzzy out of focus/blurry.

A: Unfortunately, there is no published specification by the manufacturer regarding the thickness of the foil in the pin hole.

A: The Country of Origin for this camera is China.

Q: 5. What is the purpose of the red circle in front of the conical front?

[Pentax K] The pinhole is large enough to see through the viewfinder and small enough to give a great pinhole look.

[74° to 55°] Instead of making my own pinhole lens using aluminum foil, etc. I chose to purchase this lens, mostly because I was worried that my home-made lens might damage the mirror or other parts of the camera. The lens seems sturdy. Delivery was prompt. I attached the lens but I was unable to press the shutter down and make my photo. I emailed Thingyfy about this problem and received an answer a few hours later. They told me that I had to change the setting to shoot without a lens, and they also gave me advice regarding other settings. They advised to start with 6400 ISO and a 10 sec shutter speed. Their customer service couldn't have been more helpful! The attached photo was taken at 6400 ISO and a much faster than recommended shutter speed--1/4 sec--I didn't want to get my tripod out:) ! One second would have been better. One addition: this happens to have an extreme wide angle which will take me some time to get used to

[55 mm (Front)] This has got to be the best pinhole lens ever. By using a filter on it you reduce the risk of dust in your sensor. Gives you a good range of pinholes to choose from too.

[40 to 60mm] Well-machined pinhole plate. Does the job. Pair with a UV filter to prevent dust intrusion into camera body.

[0.25 mm] This Thingyfy pinhole attachment is wonderful. Works beautifully and takes fabulous pictures.
There was a blip at the beginning when I and spouse couldn't find any instructions online on how to get the camera to recognize the no-lens and still shutter away. Finally went to camera store and two workers there found it - in the XT2 instructions. I have an XT20.
It also arrived safely and quickly to my Canadian address in Ontario via courier, always a concern when ordering out of country. That was a relief. So, well worth the price! I'm sure you'll enjoy the results.

[55 mm (Front)] An easy and fun way to get out of a rut of photographing the same old thing. I used it on both DSLR and SLR.

[55 mm (Front)] This allows for variable pinhole sizes... The best lens is no lens at all - glass can certainly have its limits - where the pinhole requires a tripod and patients to deal with the long exposure - it is all worth it. Fantastic for products and landscape. I highly recommend this addition to your gear.

[4 x 4 x 2.9"] Don't buy this if you want super sharp photos/videos or if you're not into experimenting. This is for fun and for artistic expression. Some of your photos just won't work how you wish they would, but that's half the fun.

It's durable and solid. Zoom works well, although It could be a bit quicker (less turning for zooming in/out). You may want a lens filter if you're worried about dust coming in.
