The B2D's tight hypercardioid pattern gives the mic an extra 6-10 dB of headroom compared to an omnidirectional lavalier mic, which means less problems with feedback, ambient noise, room rumble, and phase cancellations when using multiple microphones.

This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. In addition, the B2D lavalier is equipped with a hardwired cable that terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics DBa, DCHT, LMa, LMb, LT, PDR, SM, SMa, SMB, SMDa, SMDB, SMQ, SMQa, SMQV, SMV, SMWB, SMDWB, SPDR, UM400a, and UM450 wireless bodypack transmitters.

[1 to 2 V] I like these wireless mics better than the Sanken COS11-D that I previously bought for my Lectrosonics L Series. They may not have the fidelity of the Sanken mics, but they are very clear sounding with nice low end presence (without it being too much). I prefer these lavs over others for their all around great sound while being extremely durable.. These can withstand heavy use, while the Sanken COS11-D metal windscreen quickly was scraped and dented in regular use. 5

[Plug-In Power] I like the flexibility of this product in that it enables varied positioning. All that's needed is tape specifically designed for attachment to skin and in my case the upper cheek of my face. It has clear sound and is comfortable to wear. 5
