The cocoa Countryman B2D Lavalier Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersfrom Countryman B2D Lavalier Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersfeatures a lightweight 0.18-ounce body that was designed to be discreetly mounted and can be used for miking news anchors, actors in a film or theater setting, lecturers in a school or house of worship type environment.

The B2D's tight hypercardioid pattern gives the mic an extra 6-10 dB of headroom compared to an omnidirectional lavalier mic, which means less problems with feedback, ambient noise, room rumble, and phase cancellations when using multiple microphones.

This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. In addition, the B2D lavalier is equipped with a hardwired cable that terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Sony UTX-B03, UTX-B1, UTX-B2, and WRT-805A wireless bodypack transmitters.

With its small size and sensitivity options, the B2D can easily hide behind a shirt button. This makes it invisible for film work, theater, live shows, or any other application.

Natural vocal reproduction and a tight polar pattern make the B2D ideal for broadcast and is a dependable workhorse you can count on to perform night after night.

The isolation clips minimize clothing and vibration noise while allowing 360° of rotation for easy positioning of the microphone.

This microphone is tuned to a frequency response that is natural and intelligible at a wide range of distances from the mouth. It delivers wonderful sound quality on the chest (8-10" from the mouth) or towards the collar (3-4").

Medium (red band, -10 dB re W4) for Loud vocals

[Hypercardioid] I used this to replace the mic that comes with a Sennheiser ew 100 G4 and love the size. I have used a Countryman B3 wired mic for years.

[1 to 2 V] Absolutely amazing. Super small. Easy to set up and use. Crisp clean audio without any adjustments in post. And very good at reducing noise and clothing rustle. I'm in love with these. GOOD AUDIO MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

[1 to 2 V] I like the flexibility of this product in that it enables varied positioning. All that's needed is tape specifically designed for attachment to skin and in my case the upper cheek of my face. It has clear sound and is comfortable to wear.

[1 to 2 V] I love these, I have been using them for a decade. They are very versatile: hair worn, over the ear with a purchase or home made rig or as a lavalier unit. Great response and clarity and very durable.

[Hypercardioid] Very good in general - great for the cost. The B3 pairs well with the Senheisser G3 wireless packs. It sounds better than 'starter' mics like the ME2. Sanken sounds a bit better but costs a lot more. I think the B3 is in the sweet spot for moderate budget TV and film. The capsule tips included help shape the sound.

[1 to 2 V] I like these wireless mics better than the Sanken COS11-D that I previously bought for my Lectrosonics L Series. They may not have the fidelity of the Sanken mics, but they are very clear sounding with nice low end presence (without it being too much). I prefer these lavs over others for their all around great sound while being extremely durable.. These can withstand heavy use, while the Sanken COS11-D metal windscreen quickly was scraped and dented in regular use.

[Hypercardioid] Needed a quality mic to record some interviews for a historical video series. Paired with my Sennheisser system, this little mic worked great. This is my 3rd Countryman mic and all seem solid. I'm happy with it.

[Hypercardioid] I have a Sony wireless lav and have gone through 2 Sony lavs due to the poor design of the cable going into the connector. Talked to a B&H audio consultant on the phone and she suggested the B3. Definitely seems to be a lot stronger at the connector.
