Q: 1. I bought three of these (2/4/6 stops) and only this 2 stop 4x4 doesn't fit into SmallRig Lightweight Matte Box. If all of them didn't fit I'd easily blame it on SmallRig as it's a super low level item, but apparently QC from Nisi is subpar?

Q: 2. 4mm glass is for Nisi V5 system?

A: Nisi V5 uses 100x100mm by 2mm thick filters.

Q: 3. Which side should be facing away from the camera? I realize this sounds like a silly question, but since these filters appear to have identical coating on both sides, I'm curious if it should make a difference? Should I assume that the side with the engraved writing be facing AWAY from the camera? I just received 3 of these (3, 5, and 7 stop filters) and a bit dumbfounded! BTW, the quality looks fantastic, along with the packaging.

A: Since both sides have identical coating, it doesn't matter which way the filter is facing. We've taken them out on several shoots without noticing a difference either way.

Q: 4. Is the gasket pre-installed?

A: Yes, the gasket is attached to the filter.

Q: 5. What is the difference between this and the Nisi 4x4? (I read one is 2mm and the other is 4mm) what difference does that make?

A: 2mm filters are primarily used in slide-in filter holders, whereas 4mm filters would not fit them and are primarily used in matte boxes.

Q: 6. where made ? china ?

A: I just receive mine, made in China..

Q: 7. Will this filter work in a Lee Foundations filter holder?

A: Yes it does

Q: 8. Schneider sells IR cut filters rated for 750nm and 680nm respectively. Do we know at what infrared wavelength this filter begins to cut light?

A: This filter does not cut light at specific nm, but cots down the light by 6 stops compared to what is available at the time of shooting.

Q: 9. Are theses filter can be hold with the nisi 100mm holder v5 ?

A: Sorry shopper, these Cinema filters will not fit into the V5 Holder.

Q: 10. What is the warranty on this product?

A: NiSI filters come with 1 year warranty in the US only. They are distributed through Ikan Corp in Texas.

[0.45 lb] So I have used the GlimmerGlass series a lot as a large matte-box filter on the cinema cameras. But sometimes I go and shoot inserts on a lighter setup with my FX6 and a Zoom lens. For that purpose this filter is absolutely perfect. If the 1/2, 3/4 and 1/4 become available as 82mm filters I will purchase them. 5

[0.45 lb] I don't usually use filters but I stumble upon a youtube video and was curious how they achieved the hazy look I was trying to achieve. I figured it was all done in post (which you can, albeit with varying results). So after Googlin' and researching I came across this specific filter. I should have prefaced that I mainly shoot images and occasional video. The filtration is subtle (had to compare images taken under the same condition, see attached) but noticeable. This for sure will stay on my lens permanently!! GORGEOUS FILTER! 5
